When did the Tupperware website skimmer happen?
The Alberta privacy commissioner’s incident record says Tupperware identified unauthorized checkout code on March 24, 2020. The investigation found it had been present on Tupperware.com and Tupperware.ca from March 19 through March 24, 2020. What information could the skimmer capture?
The regulator says the code was designed to capture information entered during checkout. Malwarebytes reported that its analysis found the skimmer collecting first and last names, billing address, telephone number, credit-card number, expiration date and CVV. Malwarebytes’ March 25, 2020 report.
The sources do not establish how many people entered information into the counterfeit form, nor do they identify individual affected shoppers. The incident record alone therefore cannot show whether a particular customer’s details were captured.

How did the fake payment form work?
Malwarebytes reported finding a rogue iframe on checkout pages, served from the attacker-controlled domain deskofhelp[.]com. The fake form was styled to resemble the legitimate payment form. Malwarebytes said code that loaded the iframe was embedded after the end marker in a malformed PNG image resource on Tupperware’s site and dynamically created the iframe.
The form also reportedly imitated a payment-session timeout. A shopper could see an error and re-enter details into the legitimate form, even though information entered into the first, counterfeit form had already been captured. BleepingComputer quoted Malwarebytes researcher Jérôme Segura describing the imitation: “Upon close inspection, we see the fraudsters even copied the session time-out message from CyberSource, the payment platform used by Tupperware. The legitimate payment form from CyberSource includes a security feature where, if a user is inactive after a certain amount of time, the payment form is cancelled and a session time-out message appears” (BleepingComputer, March 25, 2020).

What is known about cleanup and the cause?
Malwarebytes reported that its monitoring found the malicious PNG had been removed by 1:45 p.m. Pacific Time on March 25, 2020, and that the JavaScript calling it was removed later. BleepingComputer reported that Tupperware had restored the payment form to the legitimate CyberSource domain, while attacker code remained at the time of its report. Malwarebytes later updated its account to say the remaining client-side artifacts had been removed. These are reports of cleanup in March 2020, not evidence about the website’s security today.

The initial route attackers used to access the site was not established in the reporting. Malwarebytes cited a scan suggesting Tupperware might have been running an outdated Magento Enterprise version, but presented that as a possible clue, not a confirmed cause.
