The report listed 24 cookies for $9.99 at the time, but that is a historical, location-dependent price—not a current quote—and it does not establish whether the cookie is still available.
What Costco’s Marshmallow Crispy Cookie is
The bakery item at the center of the report was called the Marshmallow Crispy Cookie. Tasting Table said influencer Laura Jayne Lamb first drew attention to it in an Instagram post on June 8, 2025. The report, published July 10, 2025, described the cookie as evoking oatmeal cream pie cookies and rice crispy treats. Those are reported comparisons, not a universal or controlled taste-test verdict. Tasting Table’s July 10, 2025 report
How it was described—and how it differs from Costco’s S’mores cookie
Tasting Table characterized the Marshmallow Crispy Cookie as lighter in color and more like a butter cookie than Costco’s S’mores cookie. It said the featured cookie had no chocolate, with a crisp exterior and soft interior. The report did not describe a controlled side-by-side tasting, so the comparison is best read as a reported impression rather than a definitive product test. Tasting Table’s report
The article relayed one customer’s description: “Crunchy crispy crust. Soft marshmallows and chewy center.” It also quoted Lamb calling the cookies “absolute perfection.” Both are attributed reactions reported by Tasting Table, not official Costco descriptions or representative consumer research. The article additionally noted positive social-media responses and users’ preference for warming the cookies in a microwave; those reactions are anecdotal. Tasting Table’s report
