CoreWeave publishes hourly rates for specific GPU configurations, but those rates are not a complete workload cost or a promise that a suitable instance can be allocated when you need it. Compare providers only after matching the hardware, region, billing mode, included resources, and capacity terms for your workload.
What CoreWeave’s published prices cover
CoreWeave’s official GPU pricing page lists on-demand and spot rates by configuration and region. The North American examples below are the listed hourly prices accessed on October 7, 2026; they are not quotes, controlled benchmark results, guaranteed rates, or estimates of a complete workload bill.
| Configuration | GPUs per listed instance | On-demand per hour | Spot per hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| NVIDIA HGX H100 | 8 | $49.24 | $19.71 |
| NVIDIA HGX H200 | 8 | $50.44 | $20.93 |
| NVIDIA HGX B200 | 8 | $68.80 | $34.11 |
| NVIDIA A100 | 8 | $21.60 | $9.65 |
| NVIDIA GH200 | 1 | $6.50 | Not listed |
These are North American rates in US dollars per listed instance-hour, not per GPU-hour, from CoreWeave’s pricing page as accessed October 7, 2026. For example, the H100 price covers an eight-GPU HGX configuration. CoreWeave’s published European H100 spot rate was $19.51 per hour at that access date, versus $19.71 in North America, illustrating why region belongs in any comparison.
The page also presents inference prices for some configurations and marks some configurations as contact-sales-only. A listed spot rate is a different purchase mode from on-demand pricing; the rate alone does not establish that capacity is available for immediate allocation. Check the provider’s live pricing and purchasing terms before using any listed figure in a budget.

Why the hourly GPU rate is not the workload cost
CoreWeave says its Classic a la carte instance cost combines a GPU component with requested vCPU and allocated RAM. Its separate Classic CPU-only explanation says price scales with vCPU count, with RAM included in its per-vCPU price. These are Classic product details, not a basis for assuming that every configuration on the modern GPU pricing table uses the same pricing model.
For a practical estimate, start with the selected instance rate multiplied by expected billable hours, then add any applicable storage, networking, data-transfer, and other charges. Include time spent waiting, starting, testing, or leaving an instance idle if that time is billable under the chosen terms. CoreWeave states that its storage quantities use binary units: 1 GB is 230 bytes and 1 TB is 240 bytes.

- GPU match: Compare model and generation, memory, interconnect, total GPU count, and whether a rate covers one GPU or a whole node.
- Location: Match the actual region where compute and data need to reside; regional prices can differ.
- Billing mode: Distinguish on-demand, spot or other preemptible capacity, reservations, and committed terms. Compare the term, not just the hourly number.
- Included resources: Normalize CPU, system RAM, local and network storage, networking, and data-transfer charges.
- Operational overhead: Account for minimum cluster size, startup delay, idle time, and engineering work needed to adapt deployment tooling.
How to compare providers without a misleading price ranking
A meaningful comparison requires matched, dated primary-source prices and capacity terms for the same workload. The following scorecard identifies what to establish before choosing; it does not assign provider rankings where comparable evidence is unavailable.
| Decision axis | What to verify for each provider |
|---|---|
| Price normalization | GPU model and count; node versus per-GPU rate; region; billing mode and term; CPU, RAM, storage, networking, and data-transfer additions. |
| Capacity certainty | On-demand versus spot or preemptible versus reservation or commitment; allocation lead time; cluster scale; service-level terms. |
| Hardware fit | GPU generation, memory, topology and interconnect; suitability for single-GPU experimentation or multi-GPU training. |
| Operational fit | Kubernetes or HPC tooling, image and network setup, monitoring, support, data locality, and egress requirements. |
| Risk and flexibility | Preemption exposure, contract commitment, vendor concentration, deployment portability, cancellation, and expansion terms. |
Current official competitor price schedules and comparable capacity claims are not established here for AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Lambda, RunPod, Nebius, or Crusoe. That means this comparison cannot support a cross-provider dollar ranking. Obtain current quotes or official rate schedules for the precise configuration and region you need, and compare the contract and allocation terms alongside the price.

What the available capacity signals do—and do not—tell you
CoreWeave’s March 2026 investor presentation says the company had services across 43 high-performance data center sites. It also reports Platinum standing in SemiAnalysis GPU Cloud ClusterMAX ratings for March and November 2025. These are company-presentation claims and historical rating context; neither establishes whether a particular GPU configuration is allocatable now, in a specific region, at the scale or lead time your project requires.
The presentation describes facility delivery timelines as illustrative and subject to multiple factors, including factors outside CoreWeave’s control. Treat a company-wide footprint or a planned facility timeline as context, not as confirmation of buyer-specific capacity.

CoreWeave’s Capacity Plans listing has described Flex Reservations as a way to keep capacity guaranteed up to a chosen level and better match uneven utilization. The detailed terms, pricing, eligibility, cancellation rules, and guarantee language could not be verified from the available page information. Do not rely on the brief description as a contractual promise; request and review the current reservation terms.
Choose the purchase path that matches the workload
Use on-demand when flexibility matters
On-demand pricing is the clearer starting point when you need a published hourly figure and do not want to assume a longer commitment. Confirm allocation timing and the full configuration before treating the posted rate as a usable budget number.
Consider spot only when interruption risk is acceptable
Spot has a separate listed rate, but its price does not guarantee allocation or uninterrupted access. It is a poor fit for work that cannot checkpoint, restart, or tolerate disruption unless the applicable terms and operational design address that risk.
Evaluate reservations or commitments from their actual terms
A reservation or commitment may be relevant when demand is recurring or capacity certainty matters, but the label alone does not reveal its cost, cancellation flexibility, eligibility, or service-level protection. Compare written terms with the cost and operational consequences of flexible capacity.
Quick Recap
A practical buying sequence
- Specify the workload: Record GPU model, count, memory and interconnect needs, region, expected run hours, and whether interruptions are tolerable.
- Request like-for-like configurations: Ask each provider for the same hardware shape and region, and identify whether the quoted rate applies to a node or an individual GPU.
- Build the full cost: Add the applicable CPU, RAM, storage, network, data-transfer, and minimum-use charges to compute time; include expected idle and startup time.
- Check allocation and terms: Confirm lead time, cluster size, purchase mode, preemption or cancellation conditions, and any applicable service-level commitments in writing.
- Test operational fit: Validate data movement, deployment tooling, monitoring, support, and portability before scaling a workload or committing to a long term.
