ClickHouse announced a $400 million Series D on January 16, 2026, led by Dragoneer Investment Group. TechCrunch reported the company’s valuation at $15 billion, attributing that figure to Bloomberg; ClickHouse’s financing announcement confirmed the funding round but did not state a valuation.

What ClickHouse announced—and what the $15 billion figure represents

The confirmed financing event is a $400 million Series D. ClickHouse said Dragoneer Investment Group led the round, with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, GIC, Index Ventures, Khosla Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, accounts advised by T. Rowe Price Associates, and WCM Investment Management. ClickHouse’s January 16 announcement names the financing and investors.

The valuation is a separate, reported figure: TechCrunch reported $15 billion on January 16, attributing the valuation to Bloomberg. It should be understood as a reported private-company valuation, not a figure stated in ClickHouse’s announcement or a public-market price.

Why ClickHouse is compared with Snowflake and Databricks

ClickHouse’s positioning overlaps with Snowflake and Databricks in analytical data workloads, but “challenger” does not mean that the products are interchangeable for every customer. ClickHouse describes its focus across real-time analytics, data warehousing, observability, and AI/ML. Product fit depends on the workload and operating environment, not on the funding headline.

In May 2026, ClickHouse introduced CostBench, a company-developed comparison of cloud warehouse cost-performance involving ClickHouse Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, and Redshift. That comparison is relevant to analytical workloads, but it is ClickHouse’s own benchmark initiative; it does not establish a universal winner. Buyers evaluating platforms should compare results for their own queries, data, concurrency, deployment model, and operating requirements.

Growth figures, with their dates attached

At the January financing announcement, ClickHouse said ClickHouse Cloud served more than 3,000 customers and that Cloud annual recurring revenue had grown more than 250% year over year. These are company-reported figures tied to the January announcement, not independently verified or audited results in the cited materials.

On May 27, 2026, ClickHouse reported that annual run-rate revenue had exceeded $250 million and that its customer count had reached 4,000. These later company figures should not be treated as the metrics available when the January Series D was announced, and annual run-rate revenue is not the same measure as audited annual revenue.

Developments after the financing announcement

ClickHouse’s January announcement also covered its acquisition of Langfuse and the introduction of a native Postgres service. In May, the company announced ClickHouse Agents, CostBench, and House Mates, a formal partner program. Those product and business developments provide context on the company’s expansion, but they are distinct from the terms and valuation reported for the January financing.

On September 29, 2026, ClickHouse’s news page listed an expanded Microsoft collaboration that included Fabric integration, OneLake interoperability, and BYOC availability in Microsoft Marketplace. This is later ecosystem context, not evidence for the Series D valuation. ClickHouse’s news page lists the collaboration update.

How the reported valuation compares with Databricks

Databricks announced strategic funding at a $188 billion valuation on July 16, 2026. That company-announced figure is much larger than the $15 billion valuation TechCrunch attributed to Bloomberg for ClickHouse, but a difference in valuation alone does not measure relative product quality, market potential, or investment returns. The figures also come from different companies’ financing events and dates. Databricks’ newsroom is the source for its July announcement.
