Wiersema will continue as the bank’s vice president of real estate lending, according to the bank’s September 30, 2026 announcement.
Who is the new Morrison branch manager?
Wiersema has worked in banking since 1990, according to Citizens First Bank. She joined the bank in 2006 as a loan operations specialist and later became part of its real estate lending team. The bank describes her as an integral member of that team.
Wiersema graduated from the Iowa Bankers Consumer Credit School in 2013. The announcement also notes that she is a member of Clinton Kiwanis and serves on the Skyline Foundation Board.
“I am excited for the opportunity to serve the Morrison community and help build meaningful relationships with the individuals, families, and businesses who call this area home,” Wiersema said in the announcement. She added that she looks forward to bringing the bank’s customer-focused approach to Morrison and becoming active in the community. What is planned for the Morrison branch?
The branch is planned for 100 West Lincoln Way, suite B, Morrison. Citizens First Bank says it intends to offer personal, business, mortgage, and agricultural banking there, supported by local bankers and decision-makers. The location will share its building with Fitzgerald Pharmacy, a locally owned pharmacy. The bank’s Morrison branch page lists the location and planned services.
The bank’s July 31, 2026 announcement said the branch was expected to open in fall 2026 and described it as its first new branch opening since 2004. It did not give a specific opening day. The bank said additional staffing and grand-opening details would be announced in the coming months; the appointment announcement does not establish that the branch has opened. The July announcement includes the bank’s original timing and background.

What the appointment means for customers
Wiersema’s appointment places a banker with real estate lending experience in charge of the new location while she continues in her lending role.
