The company’s customer-support page confirms the nationwide permanent menu addition began January 5, 2026, while noting that beverage selection varies by location.
Which anniversary items were permanent, seasonal, or one-day offers?
“Newstalgia” was Chick-fil-A’s name for its yearlong 2026 anniversary campaign, combining familiar menu items, new twists, and throwbacks to the brand’s history. The important distinction for customers is that the drink additions were permanent, while the summer menu and anniversary events were announced for specific dates.

Summer food and drinks
In its May 28 announcement, Chick-fil-A said the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich would return with an Original or Spicy filet, pimento cheese, mild pickled jalapeños, honey, and a toasted bun. The Pineapple Dragonfruit lineup was announced in Sprite, Lemonade, Frosted Lemonade, Iced Tea, and Sunjoy versions. Peach Milkshake and Peach Frosted Lemonade were also on the summer menu, with all of these offerings announced to begin June 8. Since that date has passed, the announcement does not establish that any of them are still on sale; check the local ordering menu.
Anniversary collectibles and merchandise
The January 5 announcement described four Classic Cup designs with a retro look, rolling out over time. Chick-fil-A announced a limited-time price of $3.99 while supplies lasted; that was the announced offer, not a guarantee of today’s price or stock. The company also announced specialty plush cows in restaurants, retro packaging for the Original Chicken Sandwich Meal, and Newstalgia apparel and accessories planned for its brand shop. Current inventory for these items is not established.

The same announcement described a Golden Fan Cup sweepstakes with 3,000 winners and a prize that included 52 entrées at participating restaurants. Chick-fil-A set July 1, 2026, as the sweepstakes deadline, which has passed.
Cow Appreciation Day
Chick-fil-A announced Cow Appreciation Day for July 14, 2026. Its stated offer at participating restaurants was a free entrée for guests wearing cow-themed attire from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time, while supplies lasted; children showing cow spots were offered a Cow Kart toy. The event was date-specific, and the announced date has passed.

Why do Icedream and the drinks fit an 80th-anniversary theme?
Chick-fil-A traces its beginnings to the Dwarf Grill, which S. Truett Cathy opened in Hapeville, Georgia, in 1946. The company’s history of Icedream connects the dessert to that early period. The brand says its signage appeared in 1967 and that hand-spun milkshakes joined the menu in 2006. These are company-reported milestones, rather than independently verified historical findings.
The summer announcement framed the year as an effort to bring back familiar favorites while adding new twists. Khalilah Cooper, Chick-fil-A’s vice president of Brand Strategy, Advertising & Media, described the approach as letting a new generation experience the company’s heritage in a way that feels “new, yet nostalgic, and unmistakably Chick-fil-A.”

How can you check what is available at your restaurant?
- Open Chick-fil-A’s app or online ordering and select the restaurant you plan to visit.
- Check that restaurant’s beverage menu for Frosted Soda flavors, Floats, and any seasonal drinks or food.
- Choose dine-in, pickup, or delivery before ordering. Floats are not available for delivery, and neither format is available for catering.
- For an item announced as limited-time or tied to a specific event, treat the original announcement date as historical unless the local menu confirms it is still available.
