What was the Chase Savings APY in 2025?
JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A.’s Consumer Deposit Rates sheet effective January 10, 2025 listed Chase Savings℠ at 0.01% APY for each balance tier displayed. Interest was compounded and paid monthly. See the official January 10, 2025 rate sheet.
APY is the annual percentage yield, which includes the effect of compounding; the interest rate itself does not. The sheet establishes the rate on its effective date, but not the rate for every month or rate-change date during 2025. How to check the rate that applies to you
- Open Chase’s savings rates page and enter your ZIP code when prompted to view the rate table for your location.
- Choose the specific account—Chase Savings℠ or Chase Premier Savings℠—and check the applicable balance tier and any relationship-rate conditions.
- Confirm the rate and account terms with Chase before opening an account or making a decision based on a historical figure.
Because Chase requests a ZIP code and rates can vary, the January 2025 figure should not be treated as a universal current quote.

Chase Savings fees and waiver conditions
Chase’s product page, retrieved October 8, 2026, lists a $5 monthly service fee for Chase Savings℠. The page lists these waiver conditions:
- At least $300 in the account at the beginning of each business day.
- At least $25 in qualifying recurring transfers from a personal Chase checking account.
- Specified linked checking or College Checking arrangements.
- Meeting the account-owner age eligibility terms.
New or converted accounts are not charged the fee for at least the first two statement periods, according to the same page. Terms can change, so check Chase’s current account terms for the exact requirements that apply to you. Chase savings account terms.

How Chase Premier Savings differs
Chase Premier Savings℠ is a separate product, not simply another name for Chase Savings℠. Chase’s product page, retrieved October 8, 2026, lists a $25 monthly service fee, waived with a qualifying beginning-of-day balance of at least $15,000 or an eligible linked checking account. A qualifying linked relationship may also provide access to Premier relationship rates. The applicable rate depends on current terms and the customer’s circumstances; check Chase’s ZIP-code rate table rather than assuming the January Chase Savings rate applies. Evaluate the APY alongside the fee and whether you can consistently meet a waiver condition. A monthly fee can reduce the benefit of interest earned, particularly when the account balance is modest.
