What Chatr advertised in April 2024
MobileSyrup reported on April 10, 2024 that Chatr listed the following monthly 4G plans. The $29 plan’s advertised 30GB included a 10GB monthly bonus for 24 months with new activations; that bonus was not a permanent base allowance.

Check how the data works
Chatr says unused data does not roll over. Read the plan details for the allowance and any bonus conditions, and do not assume a time-limited bonus will continue indefinitely.
Consider network and travel terms
Chatr describes itself as powered by the Rogers network. Rogers’ 2025 Annual Information Form identifies Rogers, Fido and Chatr as wireless brands and describes Chatr as prepaid. That brand and network relationship does not establish identical features, priority, coverage experience or speeds across those services. If Canada-U.S. talk or data matters to you, confirm what the current plan includes and review travel conditions before relying on it.

SIM and phone setup
Chatr says customers can buy a physical SIM online for delivery or from a retailer. Its Terms of Service state, “Your mobile phone is not locked to the chatr network.” The terms also say equipment may need to meet minimum requirements, which can change.
