CAT 2024 application status and key dates
The Indian Institutes of Management’s official CAT 2024 advertisement listed the following dates. Its published times do not specify a time zone.

What was the CAT 2024 registration fee?
The official advertisement set the registration fee at ₹1,250 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates, and ₹2,500 for candidates in all other categories. One payment covered registration regardless of how many institutes an applicant selected. The advertisement stated that fees paid could not be refunded.

What CAT 2024 registration covered
CAT 2024 was a prerequisite for admission to various IIM postgraduate and fellow/doctoral programmes. The official notice also listed non-IIM institutions that could use CAT scores, while clarifying that the IIMs had no role in those institutions’ selection processes.
The advertisement described approximately 170 test cities and allowed candidates to choose five cities in preference order. It directed applicants to the CAT website for detailed eligibility and reservation information. Meeting minimum eligibility criteria alone did not guarantee shortlisting by an IIM.
Can you still apply or download a CAT 2024 scorecard?
You cannot submit a new CAT 2024 application because the registration deadline has passed. The IIMs’ December 19, 2024 media release said candidates could download their CAT 2024 scorecards by logging in at iimcat.ac.in with their CAT application login ID and password. That notice confirms the result release and scorecard access at that time; it does not establish current scorecard availability.

CAT 2024 dates and fees do not establish the schedule or requirements for a later year. Anyone planning to apply for another cycle should use that cycle’s official notification and website for its registration window, fee, eligibility rules, and instructions rather than relying on the expired 2024 “apply now” notice.
