The deadline to claim money from the Cash App Security Settlement has passed. The settlement administrator says it stopped accepting claim forms after November 18, 2024. If you filed on time, the administrator says distribution to approved claims is scheduled for October 2026; if you did not file, there is no current way to submit a new claim.
Can you still file a Cash App settlement claim?
No. The official settlement administrator says the claim deadline was November 18, 2024, and late forms are no longer accepted. The court granted final approval on March 27, 2025. The case is Cash App Security Settlement, No. 22-cv-04823, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Check the official settlement website for current updates.

Be cautious of posts or messages claiming you can still file, or asking you to pay a fee to receive settlement money. The administrator’s published deadline has passed; use its official site and contact details rather than an unofficial link or phone number.
What did “up to $2,500” mean?
The advertised amount was a maximum for qualifying, documented losses—not a guaranteed payment. A claimant had to submit a timely, valid claim that was approved. The settlement FAQ describes these categories:

The available public information does not establish an individual claimant’s approval or payment amount. Those details must come from the administrator’s communications. Read the settlement FAQ for the categories and requirements.
What events and people did the settlement cover?
The case involved Block, Inc. and Cash App Investing, LLC. The settlement addressed allegations concerning Cash App account-security incidents, unauthorized withdrawals or transfers, and complaint and error-resolution processes. The companies denied wrongdoing, according to the settlement notice; the settlement is not a finding that the allegations were proven.

The FAQ identifies a covered event period from August 23, 2018, through August 20, 2024. That period alone did not make someone eligible: an award also depended on meeting the settlement’s claim requirements and filing by the deadline.

- Go to the official Cash App Security Settlement website and look for the administrator’s latest status update.
- For an individual claim question, use the contact information published on the settlement administrator’s contact page: call 1-866-615-9740 or write to Cash App Security Settlement Administrator, 1650 Arch Street, Suite 2210, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
- Rely on administrator communications for your own claim’s approval and payment amount; a general website update cannot confirm either for an individual claimant.
As of the administrator’s September 28, 2026 update, distribution to approved claims is scheduled for October 2026. A scheduled distribution period is not confirmation that every claimant will be paid then.
