Usually, no. Robux you bought or have left in your account generally cannot be cashed out. The exception is Roblox’s Developer Exchange Program (DevEx), which lets eligible creators exchange qualifying Earned Robux for money. Purchased Robux do not qualify.
Can you cash out Robux you bought?
No. Roblox says Robux “are not a substitute for real currency, do not earn interest, and have no equivalent value in real currency” in its Terms of Use. DevEx is not a way to convert purchased Robux or an unused player balance into cash.
A refund is a separate question from cash conversion. Whether a particular purchase can be refunded may depend on the transaction, the applicable store policy, and the law where you live; Roblox’s general terms alone do not establish whether a specific purchase qualifies.
When can Robux be exchanged for money?
Roblox’s Developer Exchange Program (DevEx) is the official cash-out route for creators with qualifying Earned Robux. Roblox defines DevEx as “a program that allows Roblox creators to exchange their Earned Robux for real money.” Roblox decides whether Robux count as Earned Robux under the program’s terms.

Qualifying balances come from permitted creator monetization or certain Roblox promotional awards. The program does not turn all Robux in an account into eligible funds, and reaching the threshold does not guarantee that Roblox will approve a cash-out.
DevEx requirements and exchange rate
Roblox’s Creator Hub documentation lists a standard exchange rate of $0.0038 USD per Earned Robux. At that stated rate, 30,000 qualifying Earned Robux correspond to $114 USD. This is a DevEx calculation—not a general cash value for Robux, a rate for purchased Robux, or a guarantee of net proceeds.

Why not use a third-party Robux exchange?
Roblox’s Terms of Use prohibit resale, transfer for value, and secondary-market sales except where its terms expressly permit them. The DevEx Terms identify attempts to exchange Robux for real currency outside DevEx as conduct that can disqualify a creator. Roblox also says in its annual filing that unauthorized third-party exchanges are not permitted.
Offers from outside sites are not an alternative official cash-out route. Using them can put an account or DevEx eligibility at risk; do not share account credentials or transfer Robux to a third party promising payment.
