Chase’s published app instructions explain how to see your checking account and routing numbers, but they do not document a way to display your full debit card number. The checking account number is different from the number used to make card payments. If you need to pay, you may be able to add an eligible Chase debit card to a digital wallet; if the card is missing or you need its details, use Chase’s trusted support channels.
What “Show details” displays in the Chase app
To find your checking account and routing numbers, Chase’s instructions are to sign in, tap the tile for the account, then tap Show details. The details shown are the bank account and routing numbers—not the debit card’s payment number. See Chase’s account and routing number instructions.
These numbers serve different purposes. A checking account number identifies the bank account; a debit card number is a payment credential used for card purchases. Chase’s debit-card number explainer describes the card details used for online purchases.
Can the Chase app reveal the full debit card number?
Chase’s published app guidance reviewed for this article does not provide steps for revealing the full debit card number. That is a limit of the published guidance, not proof that every card, customer, or future app version will behave identically. The app’s Show details path is for bank account information.

Use a digital wallet to pay without entering the card number
If your goal is to make a purchase, you may be able to add an eligible debit card to a supported digital wallet instead of typing the card number. Chase’s documented app path is:
- Sign in to the Chase app and tap the checking account linked to the debit card.
- Tap Manage account, then Digital Wallets.
- Select a wallet and choose the card to add it.
Chase documents this as a way to add the card for wallet payments, not as a way to display its full number. See Chase’s digital-wallet instructions. If your card is missing or you suspect fraud
Use a trusted route to contact Chase, such as the number printed on another Chase card or on your account statement. Chase also provides app controls to lock or unlock debit and credit cards. If you see unauthorized activity, contact Chase promptly. Its Security Center advises: “When in doubt, contact us before you share your account information or send money.”
- Do not share your full card number, CVV, PIN, password, or one-time verification code in response to an unexpected request.
- Do not assume a statement or digital wallet will display the full card number; the cited Chase guidance does not establish that.
