Not at the Prime Day deal price. Amazon reserves Prime Day and Prime Big Deal Days discounts for Prime members. Nonmembers can still buy eligible products at their regular, non-discounted prices. If you want access to member deals, your options are to use a free trial if you qualify, choose an eligible discounted membership, or pay the standard membership price—and compare that cost with what you actually plan to buy.
Amazon’s 2026 U.S. Prime Day (June 23–26) and Prime Big Deal Days (October 6–7) have passed. Dates differ by country and event, so check Amazon’s official storefront for your location for the next sale.

Can non-Prime members buy Prime Day deals?
Amazon describes Prime Day and Prime Big Deal Days as shopping events for Prime members. Amazon UK’s guidance makes the distinction explicit: people without Prime may still purchase items, but at the non-discounted price. In other words, you can shop during the event without a membership, but you generally won’t receive the member-only event price.
Amazon’s 2026 U.S. announcement called Prime Day an event “exclusively for members.” That refers to access to the event deals, not a ban on nonmembers buying products from Amazon at regular prices.
#1 Best Overall
- Amazon.com Gift Cards never expire and carry no fees.
- Multiple gift card designs and denominations to choose from.
- Redeemable towards millions of items store-wide at Amazon.com or certain affiliated websites.
- Available for immediate delivery. Gift cards sent by email can be scheduled up to a year in advance.
- No returns and no refunds on Gift Cards.
For country-specific details, check your local Amazon storefront. Event dates and participation vary by market; Amazon said some markets, including Australia, Brazil, India, and Japan, would shop later in the summer for its 2026 summer event, and its fall-event guidance says dates may vary by country.
How to shop Prime Day deals if you don’t currently have Prime
Check whether you’re eligible for a free trial
Amazon says select eligible customers may receive a free 30-day U.S. Prime trial and can use Prime benefits during it, including event access. The offer is not available to every account, so check the membership offer shown to you rather than assuming you qualify. If the trial renews, membership becomes a paid subscription at the rate and terms presented when you sign up.

See whether a lower-cost U.S. membership applies
Amazon lists separate options for eligible customers in the United States. Their eligibility rules and post-trial prices matter: compare the offer shown on Amazon with your expected savings before enrolling.
| U.S. membership option | Who may qualify | Trial or introductory period | Price after that period |
|---|---|---|---|
| Regular Prime | Customers eligible to join Prime | Select eligible customers may receive a 30-day free trial | $14.99 per month or $139 per year, as listed by Amazon in 2026 |
| Prime for Young Adults | Eligible higher-education students and adults aged 18–24 | Six months | $7.49 per month or $69 per year, as listed by Amazon in 2026 |
| Prime Access | Qualifying government-assistance recipients and income-verified customers | 30 days | $6.99 per month, as listed by Amazon in 2026 |
These are U.S. prices and eligibility descriptions from Amazon’s 2026 information, not universal rates. Check the current offer and terms for your country before you join.

Join at the regular price only if the math works for you
Amazon’s listed U.S. regular rate in 2026 was $14.99 per month or $139 per year. A membership does not guarantee that you will come out ahead: estimate the discounts on items you already intended to buy, then compare that total with the membership cost that would apply to you. Amazon’s membership pages do not establish a typical shopper’s break-even point.
Buy at the nonmember price or skip the event
If you do not qualify for a trial or discounted tier, or the membership cost is more than the savings you expect, you can still buy at the non-discounted price or wait. Focus on the products you planned to purchase rather than adding items solely to justify a membership.

How to decide whether joining for the event is worth it
- Confirm the local event dates. Check your country’s Amazon storefront; the U.S. calendar is not a worldwide schedule.
- Check the membership offer and eligibility. Look for a trial or discounted tier that applies to you, and note the price after any introductory period.
- Make a short list of planned purchases. Compare each item’s event deal price with its nonmember price, not with an unrelated list price.
- Compare likely savings with the membership cost. Include only discounts on things you would have bought anyway. If the expected savings do not exceed the cost, joining just for the event is not a saving.
- Review renewal terms before enrolling. A free trial can become paid membership if it renews; use the terms shown at sign-up to decide whether and when to keep the membership.
What the event dates mean for shoppers now
Amazon announced U.S. Prime Day for June 23–26, 2026. Its Prime Big Deal Days 2026 event ran October 6–7, with coverage through October 7. Both events are over as of October 8, 2026. The next event’s dates and participating countries should be confirmed through Amazon’s current announcements rather than inferred from the 2026 calendar.
