Where did BlockDAG’s $10 prediction come from?
A BlockDAG press release distributed through GlobeNewswire on April 23, 2024 said that “analysts and experts” predicted BDAG would be worth $10 in 2025. The release did not name those analysts or provide a transparent valuation model, assumptions, or a method readers could use to assess the projection. It is best understood as a project-promoted prediction, not an independently validated forecast, guarantee, or evidence that the target was likely.
The date in that prediction matters: 2025 is over. A past target should not be described as an upcoming price objective.
What was BDAG worth in the latest dated figures?
CoinGecko listed BDAG at about $0.00001750 and market capitalization at roughly $1.588 million when accessed on October 8, 2026. Its historical table lists a close of $0.00001653 on October 6, 2026. These are dated market snapshots, not stable prices or a promise of what a buyer could obtain in every venue. Thin liquidity and fragmented trading can produce different quoted prices.

At the October 8 quoted price, $10 would be roughly 571,000 times higher. That arithmetic illustrates the scale of the old target; it is not a forecast that BDAG will rise by that amount. Market capitalization and quoted token prices can change, and the available data does not establish a path to the target.
Why BlockDAG’s supply figures make valuation math uncertain
BlockDAG’s published materials do not agree on total supply. Its tokenomics page lists 150 billion BDAG, divided into four allocations. A BlockDAG FAQ search extract instead gives a total supply of 50 billion, with different allocations. This is a material inconsistency, not a rounding difference.

Neither calculation establishes that all tokens would be circulating or tradable at the assumed price. The disagreement needs to be reconciled against on-chain contracts or later authoritative project disclosures before relying on a supply-based valuation. The market capitalization reported by CoinGecko is a separate market metric and should not be confused with either illustrative total-supply calculation.
What happened to BlockDAG after the prediction?
BlockDAG’s developer hub reports that mainnet block production was activated on February 10, 2026, and token issuance and vesting contracts were deployed on February 11, 2026. It also says ASIC mining consensus is live and X30/X100 miners have been tested and are working. These are project-reported milestones; the available material does not independently verify block-explorer activity, contract behavior, miner shipments, or performance benchmarks.

Those reported milestones provide context about the project’s stated development status, but do not validate the old $10 prediction. The sources available here do not establish adoption, sustained network usage, or an independent technical assessment that would support that price target.
Does Avalanche’s bull run show that BDAG can reach $10?
No. CoinGecko records Avalanche’s AVAX all-time high as $144.96 on November 21, 2021. That is a historical price for a different token at a particular point in time; it does not establish that BDAG can repeat AVAX’s performance. Comparing headline token prices alone is especially misleading because supply, market capitalization, liquidity, network usage, and the circumstances of each market cycle differ.
