How close does the Francesca trim?
Bushbalm lists three options: no guard, 3 mm, and 6 mm. The unguarded setting leaves “very minimal hair,” according to the brand, but it does not make the skin completely hairless. That distinction matters if your goal is a close, smooth shave rather than trimming.
The guarded settings let you leave more length. A 3 mm or 6 mm guard can be useful when you want a more even, deliberately maintained length; the unguarded setting is the closest trim the product page describes. Bushbalm does not provide an independently measured closeness result.

“Waterproof” and IPX7 are the sellers’ descriptions. Check the product instructions for the permitted cleaning and use conditions rather than assuming every wet-use scenario is suitable.

How to use and clean it

- Choose the guard or setting that matches the length you want.
- Turn the trimmer on and hold the skin taut.
- Use light pressure and short, gentle strokes against hair growth.
- When finished, turn the device off and remove the blade.
- Rinse the blade, lubricate it, and reattach it, following Bushbalm’s care guidance.
What customer ratings can—and can’t—tell you
When observed in 2026, Bushbalm’s product page showed 4.3 out of 5 stars from 679 reviews, with 82% saying they would recommend it. Ulta’s listing showed 4.5 out of 5 stars from 458 reviews. The Francesca is most relevant if you want a dedicated cordless trimmer with several length options for bikini-line or broader body grooming. Before choosing it, decide whether you need trimming or a completely smooth shave. Then compare the length settings, wet-use requirements, runtime and charging, and maintenance instructions with any alternative you are considering. Current replacement-blade availability and comparative performance are not established by the product and retailer information cited here.
