BTCWire and Blockchain Wire announced a strategic partnership in May 2023, with the stated aim of combining Blockchain Wire’s distribution network with BTCWire’s crypto press release service. The announcement described tailored distribution, streamlined submission and dedicated support. It does not establish whether the partnership remains active today or provide independently verifiable details about a joint product or shared outlet list.

What the 2023 partnership announcement said

A May 25, 2023 article published on Publish0x under Crypto Circle reported the partnership. It described the collaboration as bringing together Blockchain Wire’s network and expertise with BTCWire’s crypto press release distribution service. The announcement framed the goal as making distribution more tailored and streamlined, but did not specify a joint product, current availability, or which outlets—if any—were shared. Read the announcement.

The announcement quoted BTCWire CEO Hicham Sbaa: “Through our partnership with Blockchain Wire, we aim to transform the way crypto press releases are distributed and amplify the reach of blockchain and cryptocurrency projects.” This is the wording reproduced in the secondary-hosted announcement; it has not been independently confirmed.

What each service says it provides

BTCWire

BTCWire describes itself as a crypto and blockchain press release distribution service. Its website outlines a process in which a customer selects a package, submits an article and contact details, pays, and receives a report with publication links and data. BTCWire’s homepage claims distribution across “150+ top outlets.” That figure is a provider claim, not an independently audited measure of reach or audience. Its FAQ describes the service and reporting process, but does not establish placement quality or likely campaign results.

Blockchain Wire

Blockchain Wire describes its service as press release distribution for communications and marketing professionals in the blockchain industry. Its service page claims distribution to more than 1,200 outlets and says most releases are distributed within 24 hours of submission and approval. These are provider claims; the page does not independently audit the outlet count or turnaround performance. See Blockchain Wire’s service description.

Distribution is not the same as independent coverage

BTCWire’s terms say the company distributes material submitted by clients, agencies or partners and does not independently verify its accuracy, legality or reliability. They also state that third-party publishers operate independently and keep editorial control over content on their sites. Consequently, a distribution service may send or place a release without a publisher endorsing its claims or guaranteeing prominent editorial coverage. Review BTCWire’s terms and ask each provider what counts as a completed placement.

How to evaluate a distribution offer

Before paying for a campaign, request written details for the specific package and confirm what the provider will deliver. In particular, check:

  • Outlets: Ask for the current named outlet list and which placements, if any, are guaranteed.
  • Meaning of publication: Confirm whether a listed outlet means a submitted release, a live page, or independent editorial coverage.
  • Audience and geography: Ask which regions, languages and reader groups the distribution targets.
  • Submission and approval: Clarify content requirements, editing support, approval steps and what could delay or prevent distribution.
  • Timing and reporting: Establish when the clock starts, what the report includes, and whether links or performance data are supplied.
  • Costs and remedies: Confirm the total price, refund or remediation terms, and how corrections or removal requests are handled.
  • Third-party control: Ask what happens if a publisher changes, rejects or removes a release after distribution.

Package contents, outlet claims, pricing and turnaround can change. Confirm current terms directly with the provider rather than relying on the 2023 partnership announcement or a headline outlet count.

What is—and is not—established about the partnership now

The available announcement documents what the companies said the partnership was intended to do in 2023. It does not independently verify that the arrangement is still operating, that the companies currently offer an integrated service, or that a particular release would reach a shared set of outlets. Nor does it establish that the partnership produced investor interest, sales or earned media coverage.

BTCWire separately announced its newswire launch on May 4, 2023; that release was published on BTCWire’s newsroom and states that the content was supplied by the issuing organization and was not independently verified. Read BTCWire’s launch announcement.

Chainwire is another provider in the crypto and blockchain press release distribution category. Its site names media partners, but those statements are also provider claims and should be checked against current deliverables. Visit Chainwire.
