What BPSSC instructed candidates to bring and do
Print the e-admit card and carry photo ID
BPSSC said it would not send admit cards by post. Candidates were instructed to download and print the e-admit card, then bring it to the centre with a valid photo ID. The notice listed voter ID, passport, driving licence, PAN card and Aadhaar card as examples.
Bring photographs if the admit-card image is unclear
If the photograph on the e-admit card was unclear or missing, candidates were asked to bring two photographs matching the one submitted with their application.

Keep the card and follow OMR instructions
The commission advised candidates to retain the e-admit card after the preliminary test because it could be needed at later stages, including the mains examination, physical efficiency test, document verification and joining. It also directed candidates to review the written-exam instructions and practise using the specimen OMR copy. The notice warned that errors in required details could invalidate a candidate’s application and prevent evaluation of the answer sheet.
Which reporting time should candidates use?
A contemporary Scroll report gives an 8:00 a.m. reporting time, while BPSSC’s original notice specifies 8:30 a.m. and states that entry closed at 9:30 a.m. (Scroll’s report; BPSSC notice.) The commission’s own notice is the primary source and the one that states the entry cutoff, so its 8:30 a.m. reporting time is the appropriate figure for this historical schedule.
