Both were Group C posts in BSF’s communications setup. The vacancy figures above are those reported by Scroll; consult the official notice for authoritative recruitment terms.
What eligibility and fee details were reported?
Hindustan Times reported alternative educational routes for both posts. For HC(RO), these included 12th standard or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and 60% aggregate in those subjects, or matriculation plus a two-year ITI certificate in listed trades. For HC(RM), it reported a similar PCM route or matriculation plus a two-year ITI certificate in listed trades. The reports do not establish the full trade lists or every condition, so the original notification is necessary to confirm eligibility.
Scroll and Hindustan Times reported a ₹100 examination fee per post for male applicants in the UR, OBC and EWS categories. They also reported exemptions for female applicants and specified categories, including SC, ST, BSF departmental candidates, ex-servicemen and compassionate appointments.
