The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) listed the Block Horticulture Officer (BHO) examination under Advertisement 24/2024 for 12–13 August 2024. The dates appeared in BPSC’s exam calendar dated 23 July 2024 and were marked tentative, so they were a scheduled window—not a guarantee that every paper or session took place on both days.
What BPSC’s 2024 calendar listed
| Detail | Calendar entry |
|---|---|
| Post | Block Horticulture Officer (BHO) |
| Advertisement | 24/2024 |
| Scheduled exam window | 12–13 August 2024 (tentative) |
| Vacancies | 318 vacancies — Bihar Public Service Commission, 2024 |
| Calendar date | 23 July 2024 |
The calendar described the examination as prelims/MCQ. BPSC’s calendar is the source for the announced window; because it was tentative, the entry alone does not establish the final date of every paper or session. BPSC exam calendar

Why another official record shows 12 August
An archived BPSC answer-key result for Advertisement 24/2024 gives an exam date of 12 August 2024. However, its result text labels the paper Block Agriculture Officer, not Block Horticulture Officer. It corroborates that an exam associated with the advertisement had a paper on 12 August, but it does not independently confirm the full BHO calendar window or resolve the difference in post labels. How to check BPSC schedule information
- Open BPSC’s official website and look for the Exam Calendar section on the homepage.
- Check recent official notices for changes, since the calendar dates are tentative. BPSC’s FAQ specifically advises candidates to follow recent notices. BPSC FAQ
- For exam preparation materials, BPSC says syllabuses and past question booklets are available through its Examination section. Consult the relevant official material for the applicable examination.
BPSC’s current calendar page is also the commission’s official location for schedules, but it does not by itself settle the historical details of the 2024 BHO timetable. BPSC exam calendar page
