The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) announced 1,051 vacancies in Bihar’s Agriculture Department, with applications scheduled for January 15–28, 2024. That window has closed. Although the assigned headline calls this “BPSC recruitment 2023,” the relevant posts were grouped by BPSC under Advertisement Nos. 18/2024–21/2024; “2023” also appears in the reported age cut-off date, August 1, 2023.
Which BPSC agriculture posts were included?
BPSC’s 2024 exam calendar grouped four kinds of posts under Advertisement Nos. 18/2024–21/2024. It listed 1,051 vacancies across the group.
- Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer (SDAO) and equivalent posts
- Assistant Director, Agriculture Engineering
- Assistant Director, Plant Protection
- Block Agriculture Officer
The calendar lists the group’s exam period as March 1–4, 2024. It does not provide a basis here to state post-wise vacancy counts, reservation breakdowns, qualifications, or pay scales. Those details need to be checked in the relevant original advertisement; requirements should not be assumed to be the same across roles. BPSC’s official site
When was the application window and what did it cost?
Scroll’s January 11, 2024 report said candidates could apply through the BPSC website from January 15 through January 28, 2024. The deadline has passed, so these dates are historical rather than current application instructions. Scroll’s recruitment report

The same report listed a fee of ₹200 for Bihar state SC/ST, PwD, and female candidates, and ₹750 for other categories. These are reported amounts for that recruitment notice, not current payment guidance; applicants should consult the original notification for the applicable category rules and payment instructions.
What eligibility details are established?
Scroll reported an age range of 21–37 years, calculated as of August 1, 2023, with upper-age relaxation for reserved categories. The available summary does not establish the specific relaxation for each category. The recruitment covered different posts, and the available material does not establish a single educational qualification or pay scale for all of them.

BPSC’s exam calendar lists March 1–4, 2024, for the 18/2024–21/2024 group. Its indexed entry does not establish a final result or selection status. A separate BPSC notice for Advertisement No. 24/2024 concerns Block Agriculture Officer Hindi and lists an August 12, 2024 exam date; it is a different advertisement and should not be confused with the 1,051-post group.

Candidates seeking their marks can use BPSC’s marksheet lookup: select the examination, then enter a roll number and date of birth. The lookup interface is not, by itself, confirmation of the overall final-result status for the recruitment group. BPSC marksheet lookup
