Bonfy.AI announced its emergence from stealth on June 26, 2025, with Bonfy Adaptive Content Security (ACS), an enterprise platform for applying business context and policy to human- and AI-generated content. The company said it raised $9.5 million in seed funding in 2024; TLV Partners led the round, and Saban participated. Bonfy now says it is part of Kiteworks, but its website does not explain the relationship’s timing or terms.

What Bonfy announced

Bonfy’s launch announcement introduced ACS as a way for enterprises to manage risks in content across email, files, collaboration tools, SaaS applications, and AI workflows. The company frames the platform’s scope as content at rest, in motion, and in use—not just information being sent outside an organization.

Bonfy named potential concerns including oversharing, intellectual-property leakage, privacy violations, non-compliant communications, cybersecurity exposure, business liabilities, and reputational risk. Its proposed approach combines business context—such as information from customer relationship management and identity and access-management systems—with organizational logic and policies. These are Bonfy’s descriptions of its product and intended benefits, not independently verified performance findings. Bonfy’s launch announcement and SecurityWeek’s contemporaneous report describe monitoring content in tools such as Slack and Microsoft 365, including ChatGPT and Copilot output.

Funding and launch timeline

Bonfy said it raised $9.5 million in 2024, with TLV Partners leading the seed round. The company’s release names Saban Ventures as a participant, while SecurityWeek identifies Saban Capital Group. Both accounts describe Saban participation, but the sources use different names.

The company announced its emergence from stealth on June 26, 2025. Its release page currently displays an April 8, 2026 byline above a June 26, 2025 dateline; SecurityWeek also dates the stealth announcement to June 26, 2025. The funding year and announcement date are therefore distinct: the seed round was raised in 2024, and Bonfy went public in 2025.

How the product scope has expanded

ACS 2.0 and AI-agent workflows

In a March 2026 announcement, Bonfy broadened its positioning to cover agent workflows, shadow AI, browsers, cloud and on-premises file stores, and content handled while agents plan, reason, and execute. The company listed integrations or supported environments including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack, AWS S3, on-premises file stores, Splunk, Sentinel, Rapid7, Microsoft Copilot Studio, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and Google Gemini. Bonfy said ACS 2.0 was immediately available at the time of that announcement; this is a dated company statement, not confirmation of current availability for every integration. Bonfy’s ACS 2.0 announcement describes the expanded scope.

Contextual Data Enforcement

In May 2026, Bonfy announced Contextual Data Enforcement, which it described as an inspection and policy layer for content that AI clients retrieve from enterprise data. Bonfy said it was then available for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace and supported Anthropic Claude, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and OpenAI ChatGPT. That availability statement is specific to the date of the announcement; organizations should confirm current product and integration status directly with the company. The May 2026 announcement also quotes Gartner analyst Rita Sallam on trust-based governance for AI agents. The quote is presented by Bonfy, which dates it April 16, 2026.

What the announced funding and market figures establish

The $9.5 million figure is a reported seed-funding amount, not a measure of revenue, product adoption, or market share. Bonfy’s releases also repeat several forecasts attributed to Gartner, but those figures should be read as company-reproduced forecasts rather than independently verified Gartner quotations or observed outcomes.

  • Bonfy’s 2025 launch release attributes to Gartner a forecast that 70% of CISOs at larger enterprises would adopt a consolidated approach to insider-risk and data-exfiltration use cases. The release cites Gartner’s 2025 Market Guide for Data Loss Prevention.
  • Bonfy’s 2026 ACS 2.0 announcement attributes to Gartner a projection that generative AI would be involved in 22% of cyberattacks and data leaks by 2028.
  • The same 2026 announcement attributes to Gartner a projection that access-control issues would be exploited in over 50% of successful cybersecurity attacks against AI agents through 2029.

The underlying Gartner publications were not reviewed alongside Bonfy’s announcements, so these figures are best treated as context for the company’s positioning, not as independently confirmed statistics. The launch-release figure appears in Bonfy’s original announcement; the later projections appear in its ACS 2.0 announcement.

What is—and is not—known about Bonfy’s current status

Bonfy’s current home page says, “Bonfy.AI is now part of Kiteworks,” and continues to present Bonfy ACS as a content-security platform. The available statement does not establish when the relationship began or whether it involved an acquisition, a particular transaction structure, or other terms. Bonfy’s home page is the company’s current public statement.

The sources cited here describe product capabilities, integrations, and expected benefits primarily through Bonfy’s own announcements. They do not provide independent product testing or comparative evidence showing that ACS performs better than traditional data-loss prevention or other AI-security tools. For an enterprise evaluating the platform, practical questions include which repositories and AI clients are supported now, what content and actions are inspected, what enforcement and remediation options exist, and how identity, retention, encryption, and deployment are handled.
