The public notice does not provide an itemized list of services, so it does not establish that the contract specifically pays for particular repairs, spare parts, or a guaranteed readiness outcome.
What the Army contract says
The Army notice describes the work as “Apache post-production support services” and identifies Boeing in Mesa, Arizona, as the awardee. Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is the contracting activity. The notice says the contract is firm-fixed-price, was solicited via the internet, and received one bid. Joint Forces News reproduced the award notice.
Work locations and funding are to be determined with each order. The notice does not explain why one bid was received, so that fact alone does not establish why competition was limited or how the procurement was classified.
What “post-production support” does—and does not—tell us
The published award identifies a broad support-services category, not a detailed task list. The reviewed announcement does not itemize deliverables or allocate the contract value to specific activities. It therefore does not confirm that this award buys depot maintenance, particular spare parts, engineering services, repairs, or a specified improvement in fleet readiness. Reuters reporting carried by Yahoo Finance also distinguishes this support award from a separate Army production contract but does not establish a task-by-task scope for the support work.

#1 Best Overall
- Revell 03824 Kit AH-64A Apache 1:144 Scale Model Kit
- Detailed cockpit
- Highly detailed fuselage
- Authentic decal set
The estimated completion date is December 31, 2030; it is an estimate in the notice, not a guarantee that every order or activity will finish on that date. Because funding and work locations depend on orders, the announcement does not establish a single site or a complete schedule for performance.
How it differs from the separate Apache production award
The $2.73 billion award is for post-production support services. It is distinct from the approximately $4.7 billion Army award reported the month before for new-build AH-64E attack helicopters, Longbow crew trainers, and related accessories. The two headline values apply to different types of work and should not be treated as prices for equivalent outputs.

The headline rounds the award to $2.7 billion; the contract notice states the exact amount as $2,728,234,918. That figure is the stated value of a government contract, not a disclosed breakdown of spending by aircraft, task, location, or year. The notice says funding will be determined with each order, so the public announcement does not show when particular amounts will be obligated or how they will be distributed.
