Bobby Berk’s Hollywood Hills residence sold for a reported $2.5 million, which TMZ described as the full asking price at the time of sale. That was not the same as the home’s earlier $2.75 million list price in October 2024. TMZ reported the sale on January 12, 2025, and said it closed on January 10.

What the sale price means

TMZ reported that the four-bedroom, 2,924-square-foot home sold for $2.5 million. Its description of the sale as being for the “full asking price” refers to the ask in effect when the transaction closed, not the earlier October 2024 listing price of $2.75 million. The coverage does not explain when or why the asking price changed.

TMZ’s January 12, 2025 report wrote: “Bobby Berk’s former pad in the Hollywood Hills has strutted off the market in style, fetching the full asking price … TMZ has learned.” That is the publication’s narration, not a quotation from Berk or his representative.

Reported purchase and sale prices

Date Reported price What it represents
2019 $1.375 million TMZ’s reported purchase price for the residence.
October 2024 $2.75 million The initial list price reported by TMZ; Nadine Guyaux of Redfin Premier was identified as the listing agent.
January 2025 $2.5 million The sale price TMZ reported on January 12, describing it as the full asking price at the time of sale.

Subtracting the reported 2019 purchase price from the reported sale price gives a gross price difference of $1.125 million. That arithmetic is not the seller’s net profit: the available coverage does not account for remodeling or other renovation spending, carrying costs, taxes, or transaction expenses. TMZ attributed its transaction information to real-estate sources; the available reporting does not establish the figures through a deed or other primary transaction record.

What was reported about the home

TMZ described the property as a modern, four-bedroom home measuring 2,924 square feet. Its report mentioned a primary suite with a spa-like bath and large walk-in closet, a gourmet kitchen with high-end appliances, marble counters and brass cabinets, floor-to-ceiling windows in the living area, three custom fireplaces, and an outdoor entertaining area with panoramic city views and a countertop grill. These are details reported in media coverage, not an independent inspection.

Mansion Global reported that the listing agent said Berk remodeled the interiors, expanded the primary bedroom by enclosing a patio, and redid the backyard with multiple gathering levels. The agent also said outdoor furniture could be purchased with the home; the coverage does not identify specific furniture or establish its availability after the sale.

A property-listing result identifies the residence as 3020 Hollycrest Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90068. ELLE Decor described the home as serving as Berk’s Los Angeles headquarters. Those descriptions add context to the property’s connection to his design work, but do not change what the reported sale-price figures establish.
