There is no clear overall winner between Bluehost and GoDaddy. In a Bluehost-authored comparison, Bluehost Business leads on listed site capacity and stated uptime, while GoDaddy’s official pages document daily backups and managed WordPress tools. But the comparison pairs different plan types, and neither provider’s published figures are independent performance tests. Choose by matching the exact hosting product, region, renewal cost and features your site needs.
What the 2026 comparison actually compares
Bluehost’s comparison page, labeled as of March 2026, matches Bluehost Business (web/WordPress hosting) against GoDaddy WordPress Deluxe. Those are not necessarily equivalent products. The figures below are claims from Bluehost’s comparison, including its claims about GoDaddy; they are not independently audited limits or test results.
| Published detail | Bluehost Business | GoDaddy WordPress Deluxe |
|---|---|---|
| Websites | Up to 50 | 1 |
| Storage | 50 GB NVMe | 20 GB NVMe |
| Monthly visits | Up to 200,000 | Estimated ~100,000 |
| Stated uptime | 99.99% | 99.9% |
Bluehost’s comparison gives Bluehost the apparent edge on the listed multi-site allowance, storage, estimated visitor capacity and uptime figure. Those numbers do not establish how either host will perform for a particular site. GoDaddy separately states a 99.9% uptime guarantee on its hosting pages; a published guarantee is not a historical uptime measurement.
Which host fits your use case?
Choose Bluehost if you need room for multiple sites
The comparison lists up to 50 websites on Bluehost Business versus one on GoDaddy WordPress Deluxe. If you are evaluating those exact plans and expect to host several sites on one account, that distinction may matter more than the headline brand comparison. Confirm the live plan’s site and storage limits before purchase, since the figures are provider-published plan claims.

#1 Best Overall
Consider GoDaddy for its documented managed WordPress workflow
GoDaddy’s UK Managed WordPress page describes preinstalled WordPress, automatic updates, staging, an optimizer, and a migration wizard, alongside daily backups and security features. That is a specific product and region: do not assume the same package or price applies in another country or to cPanel shared hosting. Its page describes daily backups with 30-day retention and on-demand backups.
Match shared hosting to the workload
GoDaddy says shared hosting divides server resources among multiple tenants and is aimed at lower-resource sites. For complex or higher-traffic sites, it points to Web Hosting Plus, which it says offers guaranteed processing and memory resources. If your site needs predictable capacity, compare resource commitments and seek independent performance data rather than treating provider speed claims or visit estimates as guarantees. GoDaddy’s web-hosting page explains its product distinction.
Rank #2
Compare the costs on the same basis
The Bluehost comparison lists an introductory/renewal price of ₹279 per month/₹X.XX for Bluehost and $10.99/$19.99 for GoDaddy. These mixed currencies, plus an unspecified Bluehost renewal value, do not identify a price winner. The page says promotional prices apply to the first term and renewal rates vary, with rates shown at checkout.
Before choosing, compare the same country, hosting type, billing term and renewal period. Check taxes and whether essentials such as backups, SSL or migration are included in that exact cart. GoDaddy’s UK Managed WordPress page, for example, lists annual-plan monthly equivalents of £3.99 for Basic, £5.49 for Deluxe and £6.99 for Ultimate; those are UK-specific rates, not a universal price list or US pricing. See GoDaddy UK’s Managed WordPress plans and terms.

Backups, SSL, migration and support are plan-specific
Backups
Bluehost’s comparison says the named Bluehost plan has weekly backups, with daily backups on higher tiers. It says daily backups are available on most GoDaddy plans; GoDaddy’s UK Managed WordPress page is more specific, describing daily backups and 30-day retention. Check the exact plan’s backup schedule, retention, what data is covered, and how restoration works before relying on it.
SSL and security
The comparison lists SSL for Bluehost and for higher GoDaddy tiers. GoDaddy’s general cPanel hosting page says AutoSSL is free for websites created or managed within its cPanel hosting accounts. Its UK Managed WordPress page lists SSL, malware scans and removal, a web application firewall, and DDoS protection. These descriptions apply to the stated products; they should not be generalized across every GoDaddy plan.
Migration and support
The comparison lists free WordPress migration for Bluehost and an automated GoDaddy migration tool, with manual migration for non-WordPress sites. GoDaddy’s hosting page describes a free Site Auto Migration Tool during new-account onboarding, while its managed WordPress page describes a migration wizard. The comparison reports 24/7 chat, phone and email support for both named plans, but confirm the current channels and migration terms for the product you intend to buy.
