Blue Mantis announced on July 30, 2025, that Chief Revenue Officer Terry Richardson planned to retire effective August 1, 2025. The company named then-Vice President of Sales Scott Pintsopoulos as his successor and said the two would work together through July on the handoff.

When did Terry Richardson retire from Blue Mantis?

Blue Mantis announced Richardson’s planned retirement on July 30, 2025, with an effective date of August 1, 2025. The company said Richardson and Pintsopoulos would work together through July to transition the role. Blue Mantis’s announcement is the source for the timing and transition details.

Who replaced Richardson as chief revenue officer?

Blue Mantis promoted Scott Pintsopoulos, who had joined the company as vice president of sales in January 2025, to chief revenue officer. The company said he would lead revenue-generating activities, partner relationship management, and business development, with a focus on growth across cloud, cybersecurity, and managed services.

CEO Josh Dinneen cited Pintsopoulos’s prior CRO experience and collaborative approach. Pintsopoulos told CRN that his initial priorities included carrying out the company’s second-half strategy, continuing Richardson’s sales approach, integrating recent acquisitions, and expanding portfolio discussions with existing customers. Those were transition-period priorities, not confirmation of the company’s current strategy.

What did Richardson say about retiring?

In his 2025 interview with CRN, Richardson described himself as a technology veteran of roughly 40 years. He said he planned to take August off, then be somewhat active with advisory boards and possibly do light consulting; he did not plan to return to full-time work. Those were his stated plans at the time of the interview.

Richardson had joined Blue Mantis in May 2023, according to the company. It said he led changes to the sales organization, go-to-market strategies, and market expansion. He told CRN that the company had expanded from eight to 11 market practices, including advisory services, unified communications, and data analytics, and described building a leadership team and preparing the firm to scale under a five-year plan as accomplishments. These are attributed descriptions, not independently audited measures.

What is known about Blue Mantis’s current CRO?

A Blue Mantis announcement dated September 17, 2026, named Jason Bernstein as chief operating officer and said he would continue providing leadership to the finance organization. It describes the company’s work in managed services, cybersecurity, cloud, AI, and collaboration solutions. The release does not mention Pintsopoulos or identify the current CRO, so it does not establish who holds that role today. Read the later leadership announcement.

What the announcement does—and does not—establish

  • Richardson’s retirement was announced in 2025, effective August 1 of that year.
  • Pintsopoulos was named as his successor at the time, after serving as vice president of sales.
  • Richardson told CRN that Blue Mantis had achieved above-market growth across business lines, practices, and core partners. The interview did not provide audited figures or a comparable revenue-growth measure.
  • The later COO announcement is company leadership context, not evidence that Pintsopoulos still holds the CRO position.
