Deals began earlier: Amazon announced its event would start November 20, while Target scheduled an early sale for November 6–8. Target said its stores would open at 6 a.m. local time on Black Friday; official 2025 Walmart and Best Buy store hours were not verified here. Price matching also varied by retailer and purchase channel, and a retailer’s general policy is not necessarily a guarantee for Black Friday offers.
When was Black Friday 2025?
Black Friday 2025 was November 28, the day after Thanksgiving in the United States. Cyber Monday followed on December 1. Amazon announced that its Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday deals would begin November 20 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time, illustrating that the shopping period started before the Friday itself. Amazon described offers across home, electronics, beauty and apparel; those were retailer announcements, not confirmation that any particular deal remained available later. What time did stores open on Black Friday 2025?
Target
Target said its stores would be closed Thanksgiving Day, November 27, and open at 6 a.m. local time on Friday, November 28, closing at each store’s regular local time. The opening time was not a nationwide single time zone; the closing time depended on the location. Target advised shoppers to check the specific store’s listing using its store locator. The schedule comes from Target’s November 20, 2025 holiday-hours announcement.
Walmart and Best Buy
Exact official 2025 Black Friday opening hours for Walmart and Best Buy were not established in the sources available for this guide. Do not assume a prior-year schedule applied. For a visit planned now, check the location-specific listing from the retailer because hours can differ by store and date.

Which Black Friday 2025 sales and price guarantee did Target announce?
Target announced a three-day Early Black Friday Sale for November 6–8, 2025. It also announced a Holiday Price Match Guarantee running November 1 through December 24, 2025. Under that seasonal promise, a customer who bought an item during the period could request a match if Target later lowered the price of that item. Target highlighted categories including small appliances, floorcare, toys and electronics. These were dates and terms for the 2025 holiday season, not an indication that the offer is still active. See Target’s October 30, 2025 announcement.
Does Target price match Black Friday deals?
Target’s seasonal 2025 guarantee and its general price-match policy are distinct. The seasonal guarantee addressed a later lower Target price on an eligible item already purchased during November 1–December 24, 2025. Separately, Target’s general help page says a qualifying match may be requested at purchase or within 14 days. It requires an identical item and a valid, verifiable lower price, and lists exclusions. That general policy is not a blanket promise to match another retailer’s Black Friday price. Check Target’s current price match policy for the applicable terms.

Does Walmart price match Black Friday deals?
Walmart’s policy differs by channel. In a U.S. store, an associate may match the identical item’s Walmart.com price, subject to restrictions; the on-duty manager has the final decision. Walmart’s policy excludes special-event prices, including Black Friday, from store price matching. Walmart.com does not match competitors’ prices or later price reductions. In other words, “Walmart price matches” is too broad: the answer depends on where you buy, what price you are asking it to match, and whether an exclusion applies. Walmart’s policy text says it was updated June 8, 2023; consult its price-matching policy for details.

Best Buy’s currently published policy matches some qualifying, immediately available new products from qualified competitors, but excludes competitor offers identified as Black Friday pricing and offers from Thanksgiving Thursday through the following Monday. That policy page is effective September 2, 2026, so it does not establish the exact rules Best Buy used for Black Friday 2025. For the currently published terms, see Best Buy’s Price Match Guarantee.

How to check whether a price match will work
- Compare the exact product. Confirm the brand, model, color and configuration match; a similar-looking item may not qualify.
- Check the offer conditions. Review stock status, seller identity, membership requirements, bundles, coupons, gift-card offers and time-limited deal exclusions.
- Use the policy for the right channel. A retailer may apply different rules to store purchases and online orders, and special-event pricing may be excluded.
- Keep proof. Save the receipt and the live listing or advertisement showing the lower price, then verify the retailer’s policy for your market and purchase channel on the day you ask.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
