Bitcore Momentum Review: Scam or Legit Trading Platform?

Spain’s CNMV and New Zealand’s FMA have listed Bitcore Momentum in regulator warnings. Here’s what the notices establish—and what they don’t.

Bottom line: Treat Bitcore Momentum as high risk. Spain’s securities regulator warned that BITCORE MOMENTUM was not authorised to provide specified investment services in Spain, and New Zealand’s Financial Markets Authority (FMA) listed Bitcore Momentum in a warning page. Those warnings are serious reasons not to send money or identity documents without independently checking the firm with your own regulator. They are not, by themselves, court findings of fraud.

What regulators have said about Bitcore Momentum

Spain: CNMV warning covers two domains

On 23 September 2024, Spain’s National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) published a warning naming BITCORE MOMENTUM and identifying bitcoremomentum.com and bitcoremomentum.org. The CNMV said the entity was not authorised to provide specified investment services and activities in Spain under the relevant Spanish law, including transactions involving foreign currencies. Read the CNMV warning or its warned-companies search record.

New Zealand: FMA listing dated 5 June 2024

The FMA’s page about fake celebrity investment scams includes an entry for Bitcore Momentum and bitcoremomentum.com dated 5 June 2024. The listing confirms that the name and domain appear on that warning page; it does not establish every claim made in the platform’s marketing or identify its operator. See the FMA warning page.

A separate domain appears in a later FMA warning

On 21 July 2025, the FMA listed “Bitcore Momentum New Zealand” at bitcoremomentumtrade.com/nz/ on its page about suspected fake investment platforms. The FMA says the listed platforms are not registered to provide financial services in New Zealand and warns that users may be unable to withdraw funds or may be asked to pay upfront withdrawal fees. This is a different domain from those named by the CNMV; the available evidence does not establish that they share an operator. See the FMA’s 2025 warning page.

Does this prove Bitcore Momentum is a scam?

No court finding of fraud is established by these regulator notices. What they do establish is narrower and still important: regulators named the brand or domains in warning contexts, and the CNMV stated that the named entity was not authorised for specified investment services in Spain. The FMA listings concern New Zealand and the specific entries and dates shown on its pages.

These records do not establish worldwide authorisation status today, prove criminal fraud, or confirm who currently operates any of the domains. A regulator warning should be treated as a significant risk signal, not stretched into a claim that a court has convicted the operator.

What to check before sending money or documents

  1. Match the exact domain. Check whether the address you are using is the same one named by a regulator. The CNMV notice names bitcoremomentum.com and bitcoremomentum.org; the later FMA entry names bitcoremomentumtrade.com/nz/. Do not assume a similar name proves common ownership.
  2. Check the regulator for your jurisdiction. Search the relevant regulator’s live register and warning notices for the firm’s exact legal name, brand and domain. A warning in Spain or New Zealand does not resolve the status of a firm in every other country.
  3. Verify the claimed authorisation independently. Do not rely on a registration number, certificate, link or contact details supplied by the platform. Find the regulator’s official site yourself and confirm that the firm is authorised for the particular services it offers.
  4. Do not pay an upfront fee to release a withdrawal. The FMA warns that users of platforms on its 2025 list may be unable to withdraw funds or may be asked to pay fees in advance. A request like this is a reason to stop and contact your regulator or financial institution using independently verified channels.
  5. Do not treat website appearance as proof. A secure connection or polished site does not establish financial authorisation. The regulator notices are more relevant to this question than visual design or promotional claims.

What the evidence does—and does not—say

Regulator and date Name or domain listed What the source establishes
New Zealand FMA, 5 June 2024 Bitcore Momentum; bitcoremomentum.com Entry on the FMA’s fake celebrity investment scam warning page; it does not establish the identity of the operator or every marketing claim.
Spain CNMV, 23 September 2024 BITCORE MOMENTUM; bitcoremomentum.com and bitcoremomentum.org CNMV warning that the entity was not authorised for specified investment services and activities in Spain, including foreign-currency transactions.
New Zealand FMA, 21 July 2025 Bitcore Momentum New Zealand; bitcoremomentumtrade.com/nz/ FMA listing on a suspected fake investment platforms page; the FMA says listed platforms are not registered to provide financial services in New Zealand and warns about withdrawal and upfront-fee risks.

The platform’s current operator, any relationship among the differently named domains, and its current authorisation status outside the specific regulator statements above are not established by these sources. No account, deposit, withdrawal or trading test is claimed here.
