Binance is considering ways to give users exposure to leading stocks in Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan and Brazil, co-CEO Richard Teng told Fortune. His comments describe a proposal under consideration—not a confirmed launch. The report gives no launch date, stock list, product structure, eligibility rules or confirmation that the service would be available in any of those markets.
What Richard Teng said
In an interview with Fortune on the sidelines of TOKEN2049 in Singapore, Teng said users had asked for exposure to stocks in four markets. He described the approach as part of Binance’s effort to adapt to user demand, saying: “We are weatherproofing ourselves.”

He also described the requests this way: “A lot of our users say: ‘Hey, I want to have exposure to, let’s say, the top 10 Hong Kong stocks, top 10 Korean counters, top 10 Taiwanese, Brazilian counters.’ We’re looking at what our users demand and giving them that.”
The wording matters: Binance is looking at what users want. Teng did not announce that the exchange will list those stocks, identify which companies might be included, or say when access could begin. Fortune published its report on October 13, 2026, based on the interview.

Which markets are under consideration?
- Hong Kong: Teng referred to demand for exposure to the top 10 Hong Kong stocks.
- South Korea: He mentioned the top 10 Korean counters.
- Taiwan: He referred to Taiwanese counters.
- Brazil: He also mentioned Brazilian counters.
Those examples describe the kinds of exposure users requested; they are not a confirmed list of securities. The report does not establish whether Binance would offer all four markets, select stocks from them, or pursue another approach.
Would this mean owning shares?
That is unknown. Teng’s remarks do not specify whether the potential access would involve direct share ownership, tokenized securities, derivatives or another product. The distinction is important: a product that tracks or represents a stock does not necessarily give its holder ownership rights in the company.

Binance’s existing bStocks product illustrates the difference, but it does not establish the structure of the regional offering under consideration. Binance describes bStocks as tokenized versions of U.S.-listed stocks and says they are not stocks or shares; holders do not directly own the underlying company’s shares. The company says bStocks trade around the clock. Those are disclosures about bStocks, not terms announced for Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan or Brazil. What Binance’s existing products do—and do not—tell users
Fortune reports that Binance introduced tokenized U.S. stock trading and commodity derivatives in 2026, including products tied to precious metals and oil. It also reports that Binance rolled out pre-IPO perpetual futures settled in USDT, which allow users to speculate on expected valuations of private companies.

These products show that Binance has offered forms of market exposure beyond conventional spot crypto trading. They do not confirm that the contemplated access to stocks in the four named markets would use tokenization, derivatives, direct share ownership or the same terms as any existing product.
Binance also reported that bStocks had $565.9 million in outstanding supply added by the end of July 2026, and that a median 92% of Monday’s stock-price gap was reflected during the seven weekends studied. These are Binance-reported figures for that product and period, not independently verified findings or evidence about the possible regional offering.

Eligibility and availability are not established
Binance says bStocks are limited to eligible users in permitted jurisdictions and are offered through an approved prospectus in ADGM, not other jurisdictions. Those conditions apply to bStocks. They should not be assumed to govern any future product involving stocks in Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan or Brazil.

What remains unanswered
- Launch timing: No date or rollout schedule was reported.
- Product structure: Direct shares, tokenized securities and derivatives are not interchangeable, and Binance has not specified which—if any—it is considering for these markets.
- Stock selection: The “top 10” examples reflect user requests; no companies or selection methodology were named.
- Access terms: Eligibility, jurisdictional availability, trading hours and market access have not been announced.
A future Binance announcement would need to clarify these points before users could assess what the service provides. In particular, look for whether the product conveys ownership of shares or only price exposure, which users and countries qualify, and whether the service is merely proposed, launched, or actually available to eligible customers.
