The Bihar Civil Court admit-card notice published in December 2023 covered two exams scheduled for December 17: the Court Reader-cum-Deposition Writer preliminary test and the Stenographer written test. Both examinations have passed. The notice printed a login address used at the time, but its current availability is not established, so it should not be treated as a working download link.

Which Bihar Civil Court exams did the 2023 notice cover?

The official notice covered admit cards for candidates taking the Court Reader-cum-Deposition Writer preliminary test under Employment Notice No. 03/2022 and the Stenographer written test under Employment Notice No. 02/2022. It did not announce admit cards for all four posts in the wider recruitment drive. The committee’s December 2023 notice gives the exam scope and schedule.

Post Exam covered by the notice Shift and scheduled time
Court Reader-cum-Deposition Writer Preliminary test First shift, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
Stenographer Written test Second shift, 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Both exams were scheduled for December 17, 2023. These are historical dates, not upcoming exam appointments.

How candidates were told to download the admit card in 2023

In its December 11, 2023 report, Scroll described the release as having taken place on December 10 and reported these steps for eligible candidates:

  1. Visit the then-official website.
  2. Navigate through “High Court” → “Patna” → “Recruitment.”
  3. Select the admit-card link for the relevant examination.
  4. Enter the requested login details.
  5. Download the admit card.
  6. Print a copy to take to the examination.

The official notice printed https://dcprequirement.in/admitlogin.aspx as the login address at that time. Because the exams are over and current access has not been established, this is a historical address rather than a verified live download link. Do not enter personal information unless you have independently confirmed that a page is an official, current service.

How the two exams fit into the wider recruitment

The original September 12, 2022 recruitment notice listed four posts and tentative vacancy counts. The figures below describe that original notice; they are not a current vacancy count. The 7,692 total is the sum of the four listed counts. The committee’s 2022 notice is the source for these figures.

Post Original tentative vacancies
Clerk 3,325
Stenographer 1,562
Court Reader-cum-Deposition Writer 1,132
Peon/Orderly 1,673
Total across the four listed posts 7,692

Contemporaneous coverage described a preliminary test, written test and interview for Clerk, Peon and Court Reader candidates; the Stenographer process also included a steno test and viva voce. The December 2023 admit-card notice was narrower: it concerned the Court Reader preliminary test and Stenographer written test, not every stage or post in the recruitment.

What happened after the Stenographer written test?

A later committee notice dated August 14, 2024, scheduled skill/typing and computer proficiency tests for August 20 and 21, 2024, for 3,349 candidates who qualified in the Stenographer written test held on December 17, 2023. This later stage is separate from the December 2023 admit-card release. The committee’s August 2024 notice records the subsequent tests.
