Nicole Franzel, who finished third, was reported to receive a $10,000 placement bonus. Those figures describe the placements, not necessarily each player’s full compensation or take-home pay after taxes.
How much did second and third place receive?
| Finish | Player | Reported placement payout | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Second | Enzo Palumbo | $50,000 | UPI, October 29, 2020 |
| Third | Nicole Franzel | $10,000 bonus | Hamsterwatch, Big Brother 22 season FAQ |
UPI reported Enzo’s second-place finish and $50,000 payout. Hamsterwatch’s season FAQ lists a $10,000 third-place bonus for Nicole. CBS’s official finale materials reviewed do not state a third-place amount, so Nicole’s figure is best treated as a reported bonus rather than an official CBS prize schedule.
How do those amounts compare with the grand prize?
CBS advertised a $500,000 grand prize for the season finale. Cody Calafiore won the season, with Enzo second and Nicole third, according to UPI’s October 29, 2020 report. CBS’s Season 22 episode guide identifies Nicole, Cody, and Enzo as the final three; its October 28, 2020 finale listing describes the episode as deciding who would win the $500,000 grand prize.
Are the placement payouts the players’ total earnings?
Not necessarily. Hamsterwatch’s season FAQ reports cast appearance payment and a weekly stipend separately from placement bonuses. It does not give a contestant-specific final accounting that establishes how much Enzo or Nicole received in total, or how those payments were handled alongside finalist payouts. The available figures therefore do not support adding the reported compensation categories into a verified all-in total.

Neither source establishes either player’s after-tax proceeds. The $50,000 and $10,000 figures should be understood as reported placement amounts, not as confirmed net income.
