What happened to BET+?
BET+ has been phased out as a separate streaming service, and its programming has moved into Paramount+. Paramount Skydance’s Q2 2026 shareholder letter says the integration was completed during the quarter and added more than 1,000 hours of BET originals, movies, and specials. That figure is company-reported; it does not mean every former BET+ title is available in every country.
Earlier customer notices said BET+ was closed to new subscribers and described a complete shutdown during summer 2026. The later Q2 shareholder letter reported the integration as complete. Parks Associates likewise identified BET+ as phased out in Q2 2026.
This change concerns BET+ as a standalone streaming service. The available announcements do not say that the BET brand, its linear channel, or every other BET digital operation has shut down.

Where to find BET programming on Paramount+
Paramount+ provides a dedicated BET Hub for BET series, films, and specials. The navigation depends on the device:

Paramount says availability varies by market and is subject to licensing and other rights restrictions. The company describes the migration as covering the majority of BET+ programming, so do not assume that the entire former catalog—or a particular title—is available in your location. Check the Paramount+ catalog for your market.

Will your BET+ subscription transfer?
Paramount’s guidance distinguishes subscriptions by billing provider. Check the company that appears on your BET+ bill or payment statement, then use the corresponding next step:

If your account’s transfer or billing status is unclear, Paramount’s support guidance points customers to BET+ customer care for account-specific questions. Earlier BET+ notices said subscribers would receive closure and possible refund details by email; the available guidance does not establish a universal refund amount, new plan, or transfer date for every account.

Paramount says Paramount+ is not available to residents of Puerto Rico. For viewers elsewhere, catalog availability can still vary by market because of licensing and other rights restrictions. Confirm that Paramount+ is available where you live and that the BET title you want appears in your local catalog before making a subscription decision.

That industry context does not establish Paramount’s specific reason for ending BET+.
