There is no verified original 2022 ranking behind the title “2022’s best online logistics degrees,” so a current list cannot responsibly be presented as that year’s winners. Instead, use this guide to compare online logistics and supply chain programs on the factors that affect your education and finances—and verify each school’s current details before applying.

What an online logistics degree covers

Logistics is part of the wider supply chain: the work of sourcing, moving, storing, tracking, and delivering products and materials. Programs may be titled logistics, supply chain management, global logistics, or transportation and logistics. Some are standalone degrees; others are concentrations within a broader business or supply chain degree.

Coursework commonly addresses transportation and distribution, inventory and warehousing, procurement and sourcing, operations, business analytics, information systems, and supply chain strategy. The mix varies by school, so compare actual degree requirements rather than assuming every program covers every topic.

How to compare programs before applying

Compare like with like: a bachelor’s degree is not interchangeable with a concentration, certificate, or graduate program. For each option, check the current catalog and official program page for the following:

  • Credential and format: Confirm the degree title and level, whether the program is fully online or hybrid, and whether classes are scheduled or self-paced.
  • Accreditation: Check institutional accreditation and any relevant programmatic accreditation. Confirm the accreditor’s status and whether the credential suits your transfer or further-study plans.
  • Total cost: Calculate tuition and mandatory fees for your residency and enrollment status, then account for financial aid and any additional expenses. Published per-credit tuition alone may not reflect the full cost.
  • Transfer policy and time: Ask how many of your existing credits may transfer, which requirements remain, and how those decisions affect your expected completion date.
  • Curriculum: Look for the balance of logistics fundamentals, analytics and information systems, and practical work such as projects, internships, or other experiential learning.
  • Student support: Find out what online students can access for advising, tutoring, library services, and career support, and whether those services are available when you need them.
  • Career fit: Match the course content and credential to the roles you want or to your plans for further study. Ask about employer connections and experiential opportunities without treating them as guaranteed job placement.

There is no current, independently checked tuition comparison established here. Because cost depends on school, residency, credits, fees, and aid, use each institution’s current tuition schedule rather than relying on an undated ranking or a single headline price.

How to use college rankings

A ranking reflects the publisher’s chosen criteria and weighting; it is not a universal accreditation or quality judgment. For example, Intelligent.com says its ranking considers academic quality, graduation, cost and return on investment, and student resources. Other publishers may use different measures or weights.

Use rankings to discover programs, then inspect the methodology and verify details with the school. A list that combines standalone degrees, concentrations, and programs with different online formats may not compare equivalent options.

What the available school examples do—and do not—show

Secondary ranking and guide pages name Florida International University, Saint Leo University, Northern Arizona University, Kennesaw State University, and Park University as examples; a later Research.com guide also describes online degree examples at Central Washington University, East Carolina University, McKendree University, Baker College, and Park University. These names are examples from those pages, not a verified or exhaustive 2022 shortlist or current recommendations. Before relying on any one, confirm the program’s present degree title, delivery format, curriculum, transfer rules, accreditation, and cost on the institution’s official site.

The exact schools on the purported 2022 list have not been verified. A present-day ranking or program page cannot establish what a historical 2022 list contained.

Career and salary context

Potential directions for graduates include logistician, business operations specialist, buyer, purchasing agent, inventory analyst, supply chain associate, and transportation coordinator. These are possible career paths, not promised outcomes of a particular degree.

EducationConnection reports that DataUSA recorded 10,601 degrees awarded in logistics, materials, and supply chain management in 2022; the count is across the field and is not limited to online programs. Research.com reports a U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics median annual wage of $77,520 for logisticians as of May 2022. That figure describes an occupation at that time—not the expected pay of graduates from a particular program.

A practical decision sequence

  1. Choose the credential: Decide whether you need a bachelor’s degree, a concentration, or another level of study for your goals.
  2. Build a shortlist: Use rankings and program directories to find candidates, but treat them as discovery tools rather than proof of quality.
  3. Verify each candidate: Check the official current catalog and program page for format, requirements, accreditation, transfer policies, and support services.
  4. Calculate your own cost and timeline: Request an individualized transfer-credit review and use the school’s current tuition and fee schedule.
  5. Compare fit: Weigh the curriculum, practical learning, schedule, services, and credential against your intended role and financial constraints.
