The best Hulu deal in early December 2025 was the reported Disney+ and Hulu bundle for $4.99 per month for 12 months. However, it reportedly expired on December 1, so it was not available throughout the month. For shoppers later in December, the strongest reported option was Disney+, Hulu and ESPN Select for $19.99 per month through January 5, 2026. Sports-heavy households could instead choose a reported $29.99-per-month ESPN Unlimited promotion.

The headline holiday promotion was a reported $4.99-per-month Disney+ and Hulu bundle with ads for 12 months. It was aimed at new and eligible returning subscribers and included the ad-supported versions of both services. According to contemporaneous deal coverage, the offer reportedly ended December 1, 2025.
#1 Best Overall
- A Hulu subscription offers unlimited streaming of today’s hottest shows with next-day air.
- Watch This is Us, Empire, The Voice, plus get exclusive past seasons of Seinfeld, South Park, The Golden Girls, and more. Stream originals like the Emmy Award-winning The Handmaid’s Tale, get new movies all the time, and plenty of stuff for the kids—including every season of Curious George
- Activate on your favorite supported devices to watch wherever you are. Limited Commercials and No Commercials plans available,
- Live TV plan required. Regional restrictions, blackouts and additional terms apply.
- No returns and no refunds on gift cards
That cutoff matters. Although it appeared in Black Friday and Cyber Monday coverage, it was not a deal that shoppers could count on for the rest of December. The exact archived official terms were not available in the source material, so the eligibility and exclusion details should be treated as reported rather than as a reproduction of Disney’s original terms.
Reported restrictions included exclusion of active subscribers, premium or ad-free versions, Hulu + Live TV, and add-ons such as ESPN, Max, HBO, Showtime and Starz. The promotion was therefore best for someone who qualified before the deadline, accepted advertising and wanted the cheapest way to get both Disney+ and Hulu.

The best deal for shoppers after December 1
For people shopping later in the month, the reported Disney+, Hulu and ESPN Select bundle at $19.99 per month was the more relevant choice. TechRadar reported that promotion as available through January 5, 2026, making it a better late-December option than the already-expired $4.99 offer.
ESPN Select was designed for viewers who wanted selected sports programming alongside Disney+ and Hulu. The available description referenced programming such as certain soccer, PGA Tour, NHL and college sports content, but it was not equivalent to the broadest ESPN tier. A household that needs the full ESPN network or service lineup should not select this bundle solely because it is cheaper.
At $19.99 per month, the reported 12-month cost was $239.88 before taxes. Check the offer’s renewal terms at signup because promotional subscriptions can automatically renew at the then-current regular price.

The better sports deal depended on what the household actually watched:
| Tier | Reported December 2025 promotion | Best fit |
|---|---|---|
| ESPN Select | $19.99 per month | Viewers satisfied with selected ESPN programming and some college, soccer, NHL or PGA Tour coverage |
| ESPN Unlimited | $29.99 per month for 12 months | Households that regularly need ESPN’s broader live-sports offering |
The $10 monthly difference between the reported promotions equals $120 over a 12-month term. ESPN Unlimited was therefore not automatically the better value; it was better only when the additional sports access justified the higher cost. Tom’s Guide reported the $29.99 Unlimited promotion in its late-December 2025 deals coverage.
Neither “premium” nor “Unlimited” should be read as meaning that every live sporting event is ad-free. Live, linear, news and sports programming can still include advertising even when a plan removes ads from regular on-demand libraries. Review the official Disney+ bundle details before subscribing.
Best broad entertainment bundle: Disney+, Hulu and Max
For households more interested in movies and television than sports, Disney’s listed Disney+, Hulu and Max bundle was a strong alternative:
- $19.99 per month with ads
- $32.99 per month without ads
Disney described the bundles as saving approximately 42% and 41%, respectively, compared with buying the services separately at their regular prices. Those savings are comparisons against standard standalone pricing, not necessarily against every annual plan or temporary promotion, so calculate the value based on the services you would otherwise purchase.
Rank #3

This was an ongoing bundle price rather than a confirmed December-only sale. It could make sense for a family that wants Disney and Hulu programming plus HBO/Max, Warner Bros. movies and Discovery content. It is a poor fit if the household does not watch Max or would otherwise subscribe only to Hulu.
The bundle also does not necessarily put every title in one application. Disney says select Hulu content can be viewed in Disney+, while additional Hulu content remains available through the Hulu app. Max may require its own app, account setup and service rules. Review the official Disney+, Hulu and Max bundle page for the applicable access details.
Best HBO Max add-on deal
A reported Black Friday promotion offered HBO Max through Hulu for $2.99 per month for 12 months, compared with a then-standard price of approximately $10.99 per month. Kiplinger reported that the offer ended December 1, 2025.

This was an add-on, not a standalone Hulu subscription. It was potentially useful for an eligible Hulu customer who wanted Max programming temporarily, but it was not a reason to subscribe to Hulu if the household did not already want Hulu. The promotional price would end after 12 months and revert to the standard or then-current add-on price.
Eligibility could depend on how Hulu was billed and whether the customer already had a Disney+–Hulu bundle. Partner billing and existing subscriptions can prevent a promotional add-on from appearing. Check the account’s available add-ons before assuming the offer applies. See Kiplinger’s contemporaneous report for the reported terms.

Hulu alone versus Hulu + Live TV
Hulu’s on-demand service and Hulu + Live TV are different products. Hulu alone is the better choice for viewers who mainly want current-season television, Hulu Originals and Hulu’s on-demand movie library. It can also be the financially sensible option when a household already pays separately for Disney+ or Max and does not need another bundle.
Hulu + Live TV is intended as a cable or satellite replacement. Hulu currently displays a Live TV plan at $89.99 per month after a three-day trial, if offered, but that is a current plan signal and not evidence of the December 2025 price. It is substantially more expensive than the holiday on-demand promotions.
Choose Live TV only if you specifically need live channels. Verify local-channel availability, sports rights, regional restrictions, cloud DVR features, simultaneous-stream limits and the exact Disney+ or ESPN benefits attached to the plan before signing up. Do not compare its price directly with a $4.99 or $19.99 on-demand bundle.
See Hulu’s plan page and Hulu + Live TV’s signup page for the current offerings.
Which December 2025 deal fit each viewer?
- Cheapest option: The $4.99 Disney+–Hulu promotion was the clear winner if you qualified before December 1 and accepted ads.
- Family entertainment plus some sports: The reported $19.99 ESPN Select promotion offered three services at a moderate price.
- Sports-first household: The reported $29.99 ESPN Unlimited promotion made more sense if you needed broader ESPN access.
- Movies and television rather than sports: Disney+, Hulu and Max at $19.99 with ads covered more entertainment categories.
- No-ad household: Compare the premium versions carefully. “No ads” generally applies to regular on-demand libraries, not necessarily live or sports programming.
- Existing Hulu subscriber: Check whether switching, canceling and rejoining is permitted. Active subscribers often do not qualify for introductory promotions, and canceling does not necessarily create immediate eligibility.
- Cable-replacement shopper: Consider Hulu + Live TV separately; the low-cost streaming bundles do not replace a full live-channel package.

Eligibility and billing route
Holiday promotions commonly target new and eligible returning subscribers. Eligibility can depend on prior subscription history, the service used for billing and whether the account is managed directly by Hulu, Disney+ or a third-party partner. A promotion shown on one signup page may not be available through another billing route.

- Gift Cards are shipped active and ready for use.
- This card is non-reloadable. No cash or ATM access. Funds do not expire. If available funds remain on your card after the valid thru date has passed, please call customer service for a replacement card. A one-time purchase fee applies at the time of checkout. No fees after purchase.
- To access your card information safely, type the complete website address shown on your Gift Card (MyGift.GiftCardMall.com) directly into your browser's address bar. Don't use search engines or shortened versions of the website address, as these may lead you to fake or fraudulent sites. Do not provide any Gift Card details (example: Card Number) to someone you do not know or trust. If you believe you've reached an illegitimate website, contact cardholder service at 1-888-524-1283. Be cautious of phishing sites, there are a variety of scams in which fraudsters try to trick others into paying with gift cards.
- To report your Lost or Stolen Physical Visa Card, call Customer Service 24/7 at 1 (888) 524-1283 to cancel your Gift Card as soon as you can. You will be asked to provide the Gift Card number and other identifying information.
- Use your Visa Gift Card in the U.S. everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted, including online.
Disney’s terms also limit some offers to U.S. residents age 18 or older and to new or eligible returning subscribers. Confirm the offer on the final checkout screen before entering payment details.
Renewal after 12 months
A low introductory price is not the long-term cost. Record the promotion’s end date and the post-promotion price shown at signup. If the subscription auto-renews, the regular monthly price can apply without another action from you.
Cancellation and refunds
Disney’s bundle terms state that cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the billing period. A partial-month refund or credit may not be available. If you want to avoid the renewal price, cancel before the promotional term ends, while checking the account page for the exact date and access policy.
Apps and content access
Bundled billing does not guarantee a single unified app. Select Hulu content may appear in Disney+, but the Hulu app can still be required for additional Hulu content. Max and ESPN can have separate apps, profiles, device rules and content availability.
Taxes, advertising and regional limits
Advertised prices may exclude applicable taxes. Ad-supported plans include commercial interruptions, and live programming can contain ads even on premium tiers. Sports availability, local channels and regional restrictions vary, especially for Live TV and ESPN content.
Bottom line for December 2025
The best early-December deal was the reported $4.99-per-month Disney+ and Hulu offer, but its reported December 1 expiration made it unavailable to most people shopping later in the month. The best late-December general bundle was the reported $19.99 Disney+, Hulu and ESPN Select promotion through January 5, 2026. The best sports option was the reported $29.99 ESPN Unlimited promotion for households that needed broader ESPN access. For broad entertainment without a sports focus, the listed $19.99 Disney+–Hulu–Max bundle was the more natural fit.
