The best fitness-app deal depends on what you’ll use: Apple Fitness+ has the lowest verified annual cost among the options here for broad guided workouts, Fitbod offers the clearest annual discount for strength programming, Strava is built for endurance tracking, and Peloton gives new app members a 30-day trial for its class library. Compare the amount billed upfront, the renewal price, trial conditions, and any equipment you need—not just a monthly-equivalent figure.

Prices and offers below were checked against official U.S. pages on August 16, 2026. They can change and may vary by country, platform, taxes, promotion, and account eligibility.

Fitness app deals at a glance

Service Best for Monthly billing Annual billing Trial or offer Equipment and key caveat
Apple Fitness+ Broad guided workouts, especially for Apple users $9.99 $79.99 upfront; about $6.67 per month averaged over 12 months One month free for eligible new subscribers; three months with purchase of an eligible device Works best in Apple’s ecosystem; some live metrics require compatible hardware.
Fitbod Generated strength workouts and progress tracking $15.99 $95.99 upfront; about $8.00 per month averaged over 12 months Seven days for new users; trial converts to paid unless canceled Designed for strength training; price can vary by region, promotion, and platform.
Strava Running, cycling, routes, and social activity tracking Confirm individual checkout price Confirm individual checkout price Not stated on the cited subscription page The page’s $6.67/month signal is associated with a four-member plan; do not assume it is the individual rate.
Peloton App Instructor-led classes across many workout types Confirm current checkout price Confirm current checkout price 30 days for new app members; card required and trial renews unless canceled No Peloton equipment is required for app-only use. App One limits cardio-equipment classes to three per month; App+ includes unlimited access.

“Annual monthly cost” is annual price divided by 12, not a monthly payment option. The annual plans listed above are billed upfront. Check the vendor’s final checkout screen and the relevant app store before subscribing, because the price can differ by platform or account.

Which fitness app deal fits your goal?

For broad guided home workouts: Apple Fitness+

Fitness+ is the strongest verified annual-price value here for someone who wants instructor-led variety and already uses Apple devices. Apple advertises 12 workout types, including strength, HIIT, yoga, kickboxing, rowing, cycling, Pilates, treadmill running, dance, core, and mindful cooldowns, as well as meditation. Sessions run from five to 45 minutes, with new sessions added weekly. It is a content library, however, not a substitute for a detailed progressive gym plan or human coach. Apple’s Fitness+ page lists the current offer and supported experience.

#1 Best Overall

  • Long Battery Life and IP68 Waterproof: This smart watch only requires 2 hours of charging and can be used for 5-7 days continuously, IP68 waterproof rating can withstand daily sweat, washing hands and rainy day, allowing you to fully enjoy your workouts.

For strength programming: Fitbod

Fitbod is a better match if the main goal is getting a strength workout recommendation and logging exercises, sets, and progress rather than following video classes. Its premium features include personalized workout recommendations, exercise tracking, progress insights, and an exercise library. The annual plan is compelling only if you expect to use it over the year: Fitbod’s listed $95.99 annual price is roughly half the cost of twelve $15.99 monthly payments. The company describes its recommendations as personalized; that is not the same as a qualified human coach reviewing your program. See Fitbod’s subscription information and trial terms.

For running and cycling: Strava

Strava is principally an activity-tracking and training-analysis service, not a guided video workout library. Paid features include routes, segment leaderboards, advanced training analysis, and other performance tools. Its free access may be sufficient if all you need is basic activity recording; review which paid features you will actually use before upgrading. The official page displays a $6.67 monthly-equivalent signal tied to a four-member plan, so confirm the individual price and household rules at checkout rather than treating that figure as a universal individual subscription price. Check Strava’s subscription page for the current options.

For premium classes: Peloton App

The app offers a broad instructor-led library, including strength, cycling, running, yoga, Pilates, meditation, stretching, walking, and outdoor workouts. Peloton says app-only use does not require its hardware. App One offers unlimited access to many floor-based workouts and up to three cardio-equipment classes per month; App+ adds unlimited cardio-equipment classes for compatible bikes, treadmills, and rowers. Peloton equipment owners generally need an All-Access membership instead. Because the official app pricing is rendered dynamically, verify the current plan price at checkout rather than relying on old app-store listings. See Peloton’s app page, membership details, and equipment membership information.

What the annual-plan math actually saves

Use these calculations to compare a year of continuous use:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • Annual-plan savings = (12 × monthly price) − annual price
  • Effective monthly annual cost = annual price ÷ 12
Service 12 monthly payments Annual payment Approximate annual savings Approximate savings rate
Apple Fitness+ $119.88 $79.99 upfront $39.89 33%
Fitbod $191.88 $95.99 upfront $95.89 50%

These are comparisons using the official U.S. monthly and annual prices cited above, before applicable taxes and assuming 12 months of uninterrupted use at those prices. They do not establish that every person will see the same price in an app store or qualify for a promotion. If you are not sure you will stick with an app, a monthly plan can cost less overall than paying upfront for a year you barely use.

How to judge a free trial or promotion

A trial is useful only if you can test the service before it becomes a paid subscription. A standard new-subscriber trial, a device-linked offer, a promotional code, a free tier, and an introductory price are different things. Confirm eligibility and the post-trial price on your own account; previous subscriptions or redemptions can affect whether an offer appears.

  • Apple Fitness+: Apple lists one month free for new subscribers and three months for new subscribers who buy an eligible device. The device-linked offer has eligibility and account restrictions. After the one-month offer, Apple lists $9.99 monthly or $79.99 annually. Confirm which billing option applies before activating. Apple offer details.
  • Fitbod: New users receive a seven-day trial and must select a monthly or annual plan. The trial becomes paid unless canceled before it ends. App-store subscriptions are generally managed through the account used to subscribe. Fitbod trial terms and subscription setup information.
  • Peloton App: New app members receive a 30-day trial; a credit card is required, and the selected plan bills automatically after the trial unless canceled in time. The longer window gives you more time to test regular use, but also more time to forget the renewal date. Peloton trial terms.
  • Strava: The cited subscription page does not establish a trial term. Check the current offer shown in your account rather than assuming one is available.

Before tapping “start trial,” record the renewal date and price, set a reminder several days beforehand, and save the offer confirmation. If you subscribed through Apple or Google, manage cancellation through the relevant account subscription settings; deleting the app itself does not cancel a subscription. Fitbod specifically directs app-store subscribers to manage their subscriptions through the store account.

Check device, equipment, and platform costs

A low subscription price is not a bargain if using the features you want requires hardware you do not own. Compare the full cost of participation, not just the app bill.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • Apple Fitness+: The service is centered on the Apple Fitness app. Real-time metrics are supported with Apple Watch, AirPods Pro 3, or a compatible Bluetooth heart-rate monitor; do not assume the experience is identical without compatible equipment. Android-only users should not treat it as a straightforward option. Apple’s compatibility and offer information.
  • Fitbod: It is available through the website, Apple App Store, and Google Play, but Fitbod warns that prices can vary by region, promotion, and platform. Compare the final totals at the vendor site and the app store you would use. Fitbod plan information.
  • Peloton: The app can be used on supported phones, tablets, TVs, and other devices without owning Peloton equipment. Some App+ classes require compatible cardio equipment, and Peloton equipment owners generally need All-Access membership. App features and equipment membership details.
  • Strava: Its value depends on whether you want GPS activity logs, routes, performance analysis, and social features. It is not a replacement for a guided class app or a strength-programming app.

Before buying, check iPhone versus Android support, wearable and heart-rate compatibility, casting or TV support, and whether the specific metrics you care about require another device. App-store prices, taxes, and promotions can vary, so compare the final checkout totals on the vendor website, Apple App Store, and Google Play where applicable.

When a bundle or household plan is worth it

Apple says Fitness+ can be included through Apple One. A bundle is a saving only if you already want the other included services; do not count their value at full price if you would not otherwise subscribe to them. Check the current U.S. tiers and included services on Apple One’s official page.

Strava’s page shows a four-member price signal, but the exact individual-versus-household price and profile rules should be confirmed in the live checkout flow. Do not divide a displayed multi-member price by four unless each person is eligible to participate under the plan’s actual terms. Strava subscription options.

For any family or bundle decision, calculate the cost per person who will realistically use it, confirm whether separate profiles and simultaneous use are allowed, and include the renewal amount. Multiple individual subscriptions may be simpler, but they are not automatically cheaper.

Price, renewal, and privacy checks before you pay

Read the renewal terms

Check whether the offer is a trial, a one-time first-term promotion, or a recurring price; the amount and billing interval after the introductory period; and where the subscription must be canceled. A free trial that converts to an annual plan can create a substantial charge at once. Do not assume “cancel anytime” means a refund for unused time.

Use your own training data as a privacy check

Fitness apps may handle location and GPS routes, health and workout history, wearable data, social sharing, and personalized recommendations. Before connecting accounts or publishing activities, review the service’s privacy settings and current policy, inspect social-sharing defaults, and check available export and account-deletion controls. This comparison does not rank the services’ privacy practices.

Which subscription should you choose?

  • Choose Apple Fitness+ if you want a wide range of short guided workouts and already use compatible Apple devices; its $79.99 annual plan is the lowest verified annual price among these listed plans.
  • Choose Fitbod if your priority is generated strength workouts, exercise tracking, and progression support, and you are likely to train consistently enough to justify annual billing.
  • Choose Strava if routes, GPS recording, performance tools, and social motivation matter more than instructor-led workouts; verify the individual price rather than relying on the four-member monthly-equivalent signal.
  • Try Peloton App if instructor-led variety is what helps you exercise regularly and you can evaluate the service during its 30-day trial; check the live price and the class limit that applies to your chosen tier.
  • Stay free for now if you only need basic run tracking, a timer, an occasional bodyweight workout, or a simple log. A subscription is not a saving when it pays for features you will not use.
