The October 2025 electric-car lease offers below have all expired. They are useful as dated examples of how advertised payments, upfront cash, mileage limits and eligibility can change a deal’s real cost—not as prices you can still claim. To compare a current offer, get a written quote for your location and calculate its effective monthly cost after cash due at signing and mandatory fees.

These are not like-for-like rankings: the vehicles, trims, contract lengths, mileage allowances, upfront amounts and qualifying rules differ. Cars.com’s roundup also included other models, including the Honda Prologue, BMW iX, Jaguar I-Pace, Porsche Macan Electric and Polestar 3. Treat both roundups as dated snapshots, not an exhaustive current-market ranking.
Why the lowest monthly payment may not be the cheapest lease
A headline payment leaves out cash paid at signing. A useful first-pass comparison is:

- Indication Displays - LED display that can tell you the status as well as indicate errors while charging your electric vehicle.
Effective monthly estimate = (monthly payment × lease months + cash due at signing) ÷ lease months.
For example, the reported Equinox EV offer’s $259 payment over 24 months totals $6,216 in advertised payments. Adding $429 due at signing gives $6,645, or about $277 per month before any excluded fees. This is the reported estimate, not a complete out-the-door cost.

Cars.com noted that acquisition fees could be additional and that offers may vary by state and dealer. Taxes, title, registration, disposition charges and dealer fees can also affect the total. Ask the dealer to list each separately rather than treating an advertised payment or effective monthly estimate as the final contract cost.
How to compare a current local lease quote
- Get an itemized written quote for the exact vehicle. Confirm model year, trim, drivetrain and included options; a deal for one configuration does not establish the price of another.
- Record the full payment schedule. Note the monthly payment, term, every amount due at signing, and any mandatory fee excluded from the advertised figure. Calculate the effective monthly estimate using the formula above, then add or separately show excluded charges.
- Match mileage and term before comparing. Compare quotes with the same annual mileage allowance and contract length when possible. If they differ, account for how much driving you need and check the contract’s excess-mileage and wear terms.
- Check location and qualification rules. Verify the eligible state or metro area, whether a loyalty or conquest condition applies, the exact trim, and whether the advertised incentives are available to you.
- Confirm the offer is still active. Ask the automaker or local dealer to verify the expiration date, inventory and final terms. Both Cars.com and J.D. Power advise checking local availability and terms; fees and regional offers can change the comparison.
What incentives meant for these October 2025 deals
In October 2025, the reported deals reflected a changing incentive environment. J.D. Power’s October 16, 2025 guide said the federal EV income tax credit had expired on September 30, 2025, and identified model-year changeover as a possible reason sellers might clear 2025 inventory. Electrek’s October 23 update reported that some automakers had added incentives or covered an amount corresponding to the expired credit through their own offers. Those accounts describe that period; manufacturer lease cash was not proof that a lessee qualified for, or received, a federal tax credit. J.D. Power and Electrek

Lease limits to weigh before signing
- Mileage: The contract sets an allowance. Driving beyond it can trigger excess-mileage charges, so estimate annual use realistically and read the contract rate.
- Condition: The lease may assess charges for wear beyond what the contract considers acceptable. Review the return standards and ask how damage is evaluated.
- End-of-term ownership: A lease does not make you the owner at the end. Review the return process and any disposition fee, and check whether the contract provides a purchase option and its terms.
The exact consequences and charges depend on the lease contract; the October advertisements alone do not establish them. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau
