As of October 8, 2026, the strongest publicly described business checking offers in this comparison range from $400 to $825, but the largest bonus is not automatically the best fit. Wells Fargo’s offer can pay up to $825, while Truist offers $400 or $800 in eligible states; Union Savings Bank offers $450 in its service area. Bank of America’s $300 promotion is invitation-restricted. Each reward comes with its own deposit, balance, transaction, eligibility, fee, and deadline rules.
These are offers verified on the banks’ official pages on October 8, 2026—not a complete survey of U.S. banks. Promotions can change, so confirm the live terms and local availability before opening an account.

Which offer fits your business?
Wells Fargo: the highest listed maximum, with a posted-transaction requirement
Wells Fargo’s $825 tier requires a day-30 balance of at least $25,000 and maintaining that tier balance through day 60, plus five qualifying posted transactions. The offer is for new business checking customers. Existing Wells Fargo business checking customers, customers who closed one within 90 days, and some other applicants are excluded. The terms also limit the bonus to one per business and per owner within 24 months. Transactions must be fully processed and posted; Wells Fargo says posting generally takes one to three days, though timing can vary. Check the bank’s current offer terms.

Truist: a lower balance tier may preserve eligibility
Truist’s $800 tier requires $10,000, but the offer terms say a customer who falls below that amount may still qualify for $400 if the $2,500-tier requirements are met. The promotion applies to Simple Business Checking and Dynamic Business Checking, and a promo code must be applied when opening. Existing or recently closed Truist business checking clients with the same TIN and other specified clients or accounts may be excluded. Review the full terms and location limits.
Union Savings Bank: choose the balance or activity route
Both eligible account types offer $450, but their qualification paths differ. Relationship Checking calls for a $15,000 average monthly balance across the first three complete statement periods. Basic Checking uses a lower $2,500 average monthly balance plus 15 qualifying transactions across those periods; listed transaction types include ACH, ATM, debit card, checks, online bill payment, and wire transfers. The offer has prior-account restrictions and is not available to sole proprietors. Confirm account eligibility and current fees.

Bank of America: count it only if you received the offer
The $300 Business Advantage Banking bonus is not a broadly available public promotion. The terms say it cannot be obtained in a financial center, call center, or online; an eligible business owner must have received the qualifying direct communication. If you did receive it, check that the account, deposit source, and balance schedule meet the terms. The bank may change or discontinue the offer before its stated expiration. Read the invitation offer conditions.

The headline reward is not the same as the net value of switching or opening an account. Compare the funds tied up, time they must remain available, fees during the qualification and payout period, and any activity needed to qualify. A balance requirement can have an operating cost even when the account has no fee: that cash may be unavailable for payroll, inventory, or other needs.

Account for monthly service fees
Wells Fargo Initiate Business Checking has a $15 monthly service fee. The offer page lists waiver routes including a $2,000 minimum daily balance, a $5,000 combined business deposit balance, or an eligible Premier/Private Bank relationship. Bonus qualification and the account fee are separate; do not assume earning the bonus waives the fee. Union Savings Bank says monthly fees may apply; its page lists a $500 minimum daily balance to waive Basic Business Checking’s fee and a $25,000 minimum daily balance to waive Relationship Checking’s fee. Review the complete current fee schedule before calculating what remains after fees. Wells Fargo terms · Union Savings Bank terms

- Eligibility: Check the business entity, owner, location, existing-customer status, prior account closures, and any invitation or promo-code rules first.
- Cash commitment: Compare the required balance and the exact dates it must be maintained against normal business cash needs.
- Qualification work: Confirm which transactions count, when they must post, and whether activity has to occur during a defined period.
- Net reward: Subtract monthly fees you expect to pay during the hold and payout periods. Include any account balance you must keep to waive fees.
- Payout and account status: Note the expected credit window and whether the account must remain open and in good standing until then.
- Offer freshness: Recheck the bank’s official page immediately before applying; an advertised deadline does not guarantee the offer remains unchanged.
