The timing of an upgrade matters. Suno says songs created on its free plan are for non-commercial use by default, and upgrading later does not retroactively give those earlier songs commercial-use rights by default. If you intend to monetize a track, verify that the specific track was created under a plan whose current terms allow your use.
SOUNDRAW: choose it for creator background music

SOUNDRAW says it trains on songs written and recorded by its in-house producers. That is the company’s description of its training material, not an independent audit or a legal guarantee about any generated track.

Start with the output you need

Read the license for the exact use
For paid client work, advertising, monetized videos or products, verify the current plan and license language for that particular use. Check whether permissions apply to tracks generated or downloaded while subscribed, and look for restrictions on distribution, client transfer or commercial contexts. A vendor’s permission is not the same thing as a legal determination that a particular output is free of all third-party claims.
Compare live price and limits
Plan names, prices, generation allowances and export rules can change. Use each provider’s official pricing and terms pages for current details instead of relying on old launch announcements or figures from an earlier comparison.

What Stability AI’s Stable Audio announcement does—and does not—tell you
Stability AI’s launch announcement introduced Stable Audio as a tool for generating music and sound and described free and Pro offerings at that time. Those launch details should not be treated as current prices, plan names, duration limits, model versions or license terms. Check the live Stable Audio product and license pages before comparing it with alternatives on those points.

There is no universal yes-or-no answer: permission depends on the tool, the plan used to create the track, the current license and the project. Suno and SOUNDRAW state commercial or project-use permissions in their own materials, but those statements do not establish that every output is legally risk-free. As industry context, the Associated Press reported on February 26, 2026, that Suno and Udio had pursued label agreements after litigation and noted continuing legal challenges. That news does not decide whether an individual track is cleared for your use.
