Believe inaugurated a new office in Rio de Janeiro on April 18, 2024, and outlined investment priorities focused on urban music, professional training and a more diverse catalog featuring Brazilian artists. The announcement described strategic areas of work, not a published cash budget: the sources reviewed do not state how much Believe planned to invest in Brazil.

What Believe announced

The opening took place at Le Monde Offices in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. Believe described the new office as more than 250 m² and said it would improve the infrastructure available to support artists and independent labels. Believe’s company-authored post described the space and its intended role.

At the inauguration, the company presented its Brazil investment approach as a set of priorities rather than a single construction or capital-spending figure. POPline reported that the priorities included expanding urban music, developing professional training and diversifying Believe’s catalog through Brazilian artists. POPline’s May 2, 2024 report covered the announcement.

Three reported investment priorities

Expand urban music

Believe Americas managing director Alejandra Olea said the company was investing across several segments, with particular emphasis on expanding urban music. POPline also reported recent additions to Believe’s urban-music roster: Portugal no Beat, Cryzin, Grego, Marquinho no Beat and Giana.

Support professional training

Professional training was another area identified in POPline’s account of the company’s plans. The report did not specify a training budget, program schedule or number of participants.

Diversify the catalog with Brazilian artists

The company also identified catalog diversification through Brazilian artists as a priority. POPline reported that Xirê, which manages Gilsons and Rachel Reis, renewed its partnership with Believe. These developments provide examples of activity mentioned alongside the strategy; they do not establish the amount spent or the financial terms of any partnership.

What the new office is intended to provide

Believe said the Rio space could host workshops, larger work sessions and special events, as well as receive clients. Jaime Costa, general manager of Believe Brazil and Portugal, described those uses as opportunities created by the new headquarters, not as outcomes already measured. The inauguration event brought together artists, music-business guests and company executives; POPline reported performances by members of Gilsons, João Gomes, Kadu Martins, Iguinho and Lulinha, and DJs.

How much is Believe investing in Brazil?

No monetary commitment for this announcement is stated in the reviewed coverage. The word “investments” refers to the company’s stated business priorities and initiatives; it should not be read as a disclosed amount in reais or another currency. The office’s reported area—more than 250 m²—is a size figure, not an investment value.

Later Brazil leadership context

In a press release dated July 16, 2026, Believe named Marcela Moreira Brazil Country Director, responsible for Artist Services, Label & Artist Solutions, and TuneCore. That later leadership announcement is separate from the 2024 Rio office opening and does not provide a budget for the earlier investment priorities. Believe’s press-release site published the later update.
