Axis Asset Management Company announced on 9 October 2026 that it is entering India’s Specialized Investment Fund (SIF) segment under the brand Accelerate SIF. The company plans offerings in equity and hybrid categories, but has not yet disclosed individual scheme names, terms or launch dates.
What Axis announced about Accelerate SIF
Axis AMC says it plans to build offerings in two broad categories: equity and hybrid. The announcement does not identify the individual strategies or schemes that will launch, or provide their offer documents. Axis says it will share further details closer to each launch. Axis AMC announcement
Nandik Mallik will lead the SIF business, according to Axis. Business Standard reports that Mallik previously served as chief investment officer at Avendus Capital Public Markets Alternate Strategies LLP and was involved in launching a long-short fund at ICICI Prudential AMC. What Accelerate SIF is intended to offer
Axis describes the platform as drawing on investment expertise, focused capabilities and a disciplined product-development framework. It says fundamental research, high-conviction ideas and risk management will be priorities. These are the company’s stated intentions; they are not evidence of a particular strategy’s future performance or risk.

How SIFs fit into the Indian investment market
Specialized Investment Funds are a distinct Indian fund category. NISM lists strategy types including equity long-short, equity ex-top-100 long-short, hybrid long-short, active asset allocator and sector rotation. These are examples of category strategies, not confirmed Accelerate SIF offerings. NISM SIF information
NISM reported 14 SIF strategies, more than 44,000 folios and more than ₹10,000 crore in assets under management as of March 2026. Those figures describe the broader SIF category at that date, not Axis or Accelerate SIF. NISM SIF information

What Axis SIF fund details are still unavailable
As of the 9 October 2026 announcement, Axis has not published the scheme-specific information an investor would need to assess a particular Accelerate SIF offering:
- Scheme names and detailed investment strategies
- Benchmark, fees and minimum investment
- Eligibility conditions and risk measures
- Performance history
- Launch dates
Do not assume that terms offered by other SIF providers apply to Axis. The broad equity and hybrid categories alone are not enough to compare a fund’s strategy, risks or suitability. Review the official scheme documents when Axis publishes them; until then, there is not enough disclosed information to assess or recommend a specific Accelerate SIF investment.
