Audi subscriptions cover two different things: Audi connect provides online services such as navigation data, apps and in-car Wi-Fi, while Functions on Demand (FoD) unlocks eligible vehicle features already supported by the car’s installed hardware and software. What you can buy—and the price—depends on your country and your specific vehicle. The most reliable starting point is the VIN-specific offer shown in myAudi.
What are Audi subscription services?
“Audi subscription” is an umbrella description, not the name of one universal plan. Audi describes Audi connect and Functions on Demand as separate offerings that can complement one another. The first connects the car to online services; the second activates eligible vehicle functions. Availability varies by country and may depend on the vehicle and equipment. Audi UK’s service terms state: “The availability of Connect Services varies from country to country and may be dependent on the capability of your mobile phone.”
Audi connect: online services
Audi connect plans can provide connected navigation features, traffic information, apps, and—in supported vehicles—Wi-Fi hotspot access. Online services generally need the vehicle to have working cellular connectivity and GPS. The exact package name and included services vary by market and vehicle.
Functions on Demand: eligible vehicle features
FoD lets an owner activate certain functions after the vehicle is built, where the car’s model-specific hardware and software already support them. Audi UK describes these as remotely activated features supplied for the chosen contract term. Audi Middle East makes the distinction explicit: “FoD and Audi connect are two separate offerings that complement each other.” Audi Middle East’s FoD overview says an internet connection is needed for activation, but an activated feature can then work without an internet connection.

What might an Audi subscription include?
Audi connect NAV
Audi USA describes NAV services that can include Google satellite imagery, real-time traffic, and Audi Digital Assistant on supported vehicles. A trial or paid subscription may be required. NAV is not offered on models without navigation equipment. See Audi USA’s Audi connect information for its stated service scope.
Audi connect PLUS
In the U.S., PLUS is described as providing in-car Wi-Fi and access to supported apps, including streaming and passenger gaming features. Audi says hotspot use requires an active PLUS plan, a myAudi account and app, accepted terms, and available vehicle cellular and GPS connectivity. The hotspot is intended for passengers. Audi’s page describes support for up to eight devices and speed reduction after 15 GB per month under the service described; provider terms and data limitations may also apply. Some apps have their own charges: Audi specifically notes that Disney+ requires a separate paid subscription. Audi’s U.S. service page has the applicable details.

Other services and included features
Some safety, remote-access, or other myAudi services may be included for a period or governed by separate terms rather than being part of a paid NAV or PLUS plan. Names, included periods, and requirements differ among markets and vehicles. Check the service description attached to the vehicle in myAudi rather than assuming a feature belongs to a particular subscription. Audi’s UK terms and U.S. service information illustrate that availability is market-specific.
How much do Audi subscriptions cost?
There is no single global Audi subscription price. The examples below are official Audi figures for particular markets and offers, not a quote for every Audi. Prices and terms can change, so use the vehicle’s VIN in myAudi to check what is currently offered for that car.

The Canadian figures show why it matters to compare the kind of purchase as well as the feature: FoD examples can be monthly, annual, or one-time, depending on the function and vehicle. They should not be used to estimate the price for an Audi in another market.
Are Audi connect trials included?
Trials are not universal. Audi USA’s portfolio lists a three-year NAV trial and a six-month PLUS trial, while its PLUS page specifically says a six-month trial is included with new model year 2026 vehicle purchases. Audi cautions that availability and trial periods vary by model, trim, and model year. The included period begins on activation, and continued service after a trial requires a paid subscription where the service is offered. How to check availability and activate a service
- Register or select the vehicle in myAudi. Use the vehicle’s VIN so the account or marketplace can show offers associated with that car.
- Open the service or marketplace listing. Review the exact feature, eligible model and equipment, included period, and whether the offer is Audi connect or Functions on Demand.
- Compare the complete cost. Check whether the price is monthly, annual, or one time; whether taxes apply; and whether a third-party app or data provider charges separately.
- Review connectivity and contract conditions. Confirm any cellular, GPS, account, app, and terms requirements, along with renewal and cancellation rules.
- Activate only after checking the displayed terms. FoD activation may remotely enable pre-installed vehicle capability; online Audi connect services generally depend on available connectivity.

For U.S. plans, Audi’s terms say a trial starts when activated. A paid plan may renew automatically when authorized payment details are on file; Audi’s current terms require notice at least 15 days before the next renewal period to avoid the next charge. Connected features can be affected by cellular coverage, GPS availability, and other network limitations outside Audi’s control. Audi says connected services may change, be discontinued, or be unavailable because of connectivity limitations. A subscription therefore does not guarantee that online features will work wherever the vehicle travels. Hotspot service may also be subject to provider terms and data limits.
