The deadline to file a claim in the AT&T Data Incident Settlement was December 18, 2025, and it has passed. The settlement administrator says claim forms are no longer available. Its homepage reported that the Court granted final approval on October 2, 2026, but the reviewed official information does not establish whether an appeal has been filed or when payments will be sent.

What is the current status of the AT&T settlement?

The settlement administrator’s homepage update dated October 2, 2026, says the Court granted final approval of the Settlement. The administrator’s homepage is the most current status report among the reviewed pages. Its Documents and FAQ pages still include older language saying the Court had not yet decided whether to approve the settlement, so those passages do not reflect the later update.

The available official information does not establish whether anyone has filed an appeal or when distributions will begin. No payment date should be assumed.

Can you still file an AT&T settlement claim?

No. The deadline to submit or mail an original claim form was December 18, 2025. The administrator says that deadline has passed and claim forms are no longer available. The settlement documents list an order granting a joint motion to amend the preliminary approval order to extend certain deadlines, but the reviewed text does not state the earlier claim deadline or the order’s specific terms. That information does not create a current opportunity to file.

What if you received a deficient-claim notice?

The administrator’s FAQ says people who received a Notice of Deficient Claim Form had to respond by September 8, 2026; that date has passed. The FAQ describes documents that may help verify class membership or support claimed losses, but the reviewed information does not establish a later response opportunity. Follow the instructions in your own notice and contact the administrator to ask about your specific claim; do not assume a late response will be accepted.

Who was included in the settlement?

The settlement addressed two AT&T data incidents. A person could be included in both settlement classes, depending on which data was involved.

The settlement site describes the second incident as limited data illegally downloaded from an AT&T workspace on a third-party cloud platform hosted by Snowflake. The two incident cases were settled together in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. See the administrator’s settlement site for case and class information.

What benefits did the settlement describe?

These were settlement terms, not guaranteed payouts. A claimant could qualify for documented-loss benefits or, where applicable, a pro-rata tier payment. Pro-rata amounts depend on the net settlement funds and the number of valid claims.
