Official sources document serious concerns about AroTrade. Singapore authorities said in 2020 that it lacked the licence required for the relevant business offered to Singapore residents, blocked access to its website, and reported complaints involving unauthorised trades and withdrawal difficulties. The Bank of Russia separately lists AroTrade/SPEED SOLUTIONS Ltd and says it detected “Signs of illegal professional securities market participant”; these findings warrant strong caution but are not a universal court finding of fraud.
Before depositing, verify the exact legal entity, website, and permitted service in the official regulator register for your jurisdiction. Do not pay an advance fee, tax, insurance charge, security deposit, or “unlock” payment to release a withdrawal.
What official sources say about AroTrade
In a joint release dated 28 May 2020, the Singapore Police Force (SPF), Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), and Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) described Arotrade as an unregulated overseas online trading platform allegedly registered in Belize. They said Arotrade did not have the capital markets services licence required for the relevant activity offered to Singapore residents under section 82 of Singapore’s Securities and Futures Act. The authorities assessed that those services breached the Act, and IMDA directed providers to block access to the website. The release said police investigations were ongoing at the time.
The same Singapore authorities reported that police had received complaints from at least 40 Singapore residents who had transferred more than S$330,000 in total and later experienced unauthorised account trades or difficulty withdrawing money. These are complaints reported by authorities in 2020, not proof that every customer had the same experience.

The Bank of Russia warning entry identifies “AroTrade, SPEED SOLUTIONS Ltd,” lists arotrade.com and arotrade.net, and states that it detected “Signs of illegal professional securities market participant.” The entry is dated 1 June 2021, with latest data update 26 May 2021. This is a regulator warning, not a court judgment.
MAS’s Investor Alert List includes “Arotrade (Speed Solutions Ltd),” with a listed date of 24 September 2018. MAS says the list covers entities that may be wrongly perceived as licensed, authorised, or regulated by MAS and is not exhaustive. These dated entries should not be mistaken for a current determination of every aspect of AroTrade’s status in every jurisdiction.
Is AroTrade regulated?
The first question is not whether AroTrade has a website or offers a trading platform. It is whether the company behind the brand is authorised to provide forex or CFD services in the customer’s country. The Singapore authorities’ 2020 licence finding applied to the relevant activity offered to Singapore residents; the Bank of Russia and MAS entries are separate jurisdiction-specific warnings.
A credible broker should disclose all of the following in its legal pages:
Recommended Free Tools
- the full legal company name;
- the company’s registered address;
- the regulator supervising its investment services;
- the licence or registration number;
- the exact website or domain covered by that authorisation;
- the countries it accepts customers from; and
- the entity responsible for holding client money and processing withdrawals.
A brand name alone is not enough. Firms can misuse another company’s name, licence number, or website details. The licence must be checked on the regulator’s own website, not through a badge or link supplied by the broker.
How to check the claim
- Find AroTrade’s legal company name and licence number in its terms, footer, or account-opening documents.
- Open the regulator’s official register independently. Do not rely on a link in an email or chat message.
- Search the exact legal name and licence number.
- Check whether the regulator lists the same domain, phone number, and trading name.
- Confirm that the authorised activities include retail forex, CFDs, or dealing as principal—not merely company formation, payments, software, or financial consulting.
For a UK claim, use the FCA Firm Checker or Financial Services Register. For a US claim, check the CFTC and NFA BASIC databases. Australian claims should be checked through ASIC; EU Cyprus claims through CySEC. A company registered offshore may be a real company, but offshore registration is not equivalent to strong retail investor protection. Singapore residents should check MAS’s official records and guidance.
What a licence would—and would not—prove
Authorisation is important, but it is not a guarantee that every customer will make money or that every dispute will be resolved in the customer’s favour. It provides a way to verify the firm and may impose rules on capital, conduct, complaints, reporting, and client money. The FCA advises consumers to check whether a firm is authorised for the service it offers; this is general consumer guidance, not a current FCA status finding about AroTrade.

It also matters where the licence was issued. A broker supervised in a major retail market may be subject to leverage limits, risk warnings, restrictions on inducements, and formal complaint or compensation arrangements. A broker operating from a lightly supervised jurisdiction may offer fewer protections and make legal recovery more difficult.

Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Do not assume that “regulated” means:
- your deposits are insured;
- losses are reimbursed if the broker fails;
- funds are held in a segregated bank account;
- negative balances cannot occur;
- the broker cannot widen spreads or reject orders; or
- withdrawals are guaranteed.
Those protections must be identified in the applicable legal documents and confirmed with the regulator.
Withdrawal checks matter more than the advertised spread
Many questionable forex websites compete on high leverage, unusually tight spreads, bonuses, or claims that clients can earn consistent returns. None of those features answers the most important practical question: can a customer withdraw funds without paying more money first? Singapore authorities reported withdrawal difficulties among some AroTrade complainants in 2020; the cited sources do not establish AroTrade’s current withdrawal terms or current remedies.
Before depositing, look for a complete withdrawal policy covering processing times, fees, minimum amounts, payment-method restrictions, and identity checks. Normal verification can include a passport or identity document, proof of address, and a source-of-funds check. A broker may also return a card deposit to the original card before sending profits by bank transfer.
The following demands are different and should stop the withdrawal process immediately:
| Demand | Why it is dangerous |
|---|---|
| Pay a tax before releasing your balance | Taxes are generally dealt with by the customer and tax authority, not collected as an arbitrary withdrawal unlock fee by a trading website. |
| Deposit more money to reach VIP status | A legitimate withdrawal should not depend on purchasing a higher account tier. |
| Pay a percentage of profits in advance | This is a common advance-fee pattern, especially when the fee changes after payment. |
| Send money to a personal wallet or unrelated company | The recipient may not be the regulated broker or the original payment channel. |
| Pay a security, insurance, or anti-money-laundering deposit | These labels can be used to create urgency and extract additional payments. |
Do not borrow money to satisfy such a demand. Save account statements, wallet addresses, emails, chat logs, invoices, and transaction references instead. Contact the bank or card issuer promptly and report suspected fraud to the relevant regulator and law-enforcement reporting service.
Trading conditions are not proof of legitimacy
Even if AroTrade offers MT4, MT5, a web terminal, or a mobile application, platform access does not prove that trades are routed to a real market. A dishonest operator can provide a convincing dashboard showing artificial balances and profitable trades.

Before trading, check the documents for:
- the precise instruments offered, including whether they are CFDs rather than exchange-traded assets;
- spreads, commissions, swaps, and overnight financing;
- leverage and margin-closeout rules;
- the broker’s execution model and conflict-of-interest policy;
- slippage and requote provisions;
- the procedure for price or execution disputes; and
- the governing law and complaints process.
The CFTC advises prospective OTC forex customers to research the dealer and verify registration and disciplinary history. Its advisory reported that about two-thirds of customers at registered OTC forex dealers lost money, based on dealer disclosures from Q2 2021 through Q1 2022. That statistic is market context, not an AroTrade customer statistic.
High leverage can make a small market move consume a large part of an account. A “professional” or “premium” account may also remove protections available to ordinary retail clients. Treat guaranteed returns, managed-account promises, and pressure from a supposed account manager as major warning signs.

AroTrade should be approached cautiously if any of these conditions apply:
- the website does not clearly name the operating company;
- the licence number cannot be found in an official register;
- the register entry belongs to a different domain or company;
- support staff communicate only through Telegram, WhatsApp, or social media;
- the broker promises guaranteed profits or unusually high returns;
- the account manager pressures you to deposit quickly;
- the site accepts cryptocurrency only or directs payments to a person;
- withdrawal rules are vague or appear only after a deposit;
- negative reviews are dismissed as competitors without evidence; or
- the company changes domain names, payment recipients, or legal terms.
FCA consumer guidance describes common unauthorised forex scam patterns, including promises of very high returns, initial apparent returns followed by pressure to invest more, and clone firms misusing authorised firms’ details. This is general guidance, not evidence that AroTrade displayed every pattern. One complaint does not prove fraud, and online reviews can be manipulated in both directions. Multiple independent withdrawal complaints deserve attention; in AroTrade’s case, Singapore authorities reported complaints from at least 40 residents in 2020.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Should you deposit with AroTrade?
For a cautious retail investor, the answer should be no until independent verification is complete. The Singapore and Russian official findings and the MAS alert entry support strong caution, but do not establish a universal court finding of fraud or the current status of every service. Do not use a large deposit to “test” whether a broker is genuine. If you proceed despite the risks, use only money you can afford to lose, avoid borrowed funds, confirm the legal entity first, and make a small withdrawal test before committing more capital.
Use a payment method that offers a dispute process where possible. Cryptocurrency transfers and bank wires can be difficult or impossible to reverse. Keep copies of every document before sending identity information, and never install remote-access software at the request of a trading representative.

Is AroTrade regulated?
Singapore authorities said AroTrade lacked the relevant required licence for services offered to Singapore residents in 2020. The Bank of Russia warning and MAS Investor Alert List entry are also reasons for caution. Check the current official register in your own jurisdiction and confirm the legal entity, domain, and permitted service; the cited historical entries do not establish current status in every jurisdiction.
What did Singapore authorities report about AroTrade?
In their 28 May 2020 joint release, SPF, IMDA, and MAS said they blocked access to AroTrade and reported complaints from at least 40 Singapore residents who had transferred more than S$330,000 in total and later experienced unauthorised trades or difficulty withdrawing funds. These are figures and complaint reports attributed to those authorities, not a finding about every customer.
What should I do if AroTrade asks for a withdrawal fee?
Do not send another payment until the demand is independently verified. A request for an advance tax, insurance payment, security deposit, or profit fee is a serious warning sign. Preserve all records and contact your bank, card issuer, regulator, and relevant fraud-reporting authority.
Can a MetaTrader broker still be fraudulent?
Yes. MT4 or MT5 proves only that a trading interface is being provided. It does not prove that the firm is authorised, that prices are genuine, or that trades are sent to external liquidity providers.
How can I verify an AroTrade licence?
Obtain the exact legal company name and licence number from AroTrade’s legal documents, then search the relevant regulator’s official register independently. Confirm that the register includes the same website, trading name, contact details, and retail investment permissions.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: AroTrade should be treated as high risk unless its operating company and regulatory authorisation can be matched in an official register. Singapore authorities reported an absent required licence for the relevant service offered to Singapore residents and complaints in 2020; the Bank of Russia also listed AroTrade/SPEED SOLUTIONS Ltd with signs of illegal professional securities market activity. Do not deposit because of promised returns, pressure from an account manager, or a professional-looking platform, and never pay additional money to unlock an existing balance or withdrawal.
