Nintendo’s documented 2026 Blockbuster Sales in the U.S. and UK ended in September. As of October 8, a separate report listed selected Capcom eShop deals through October 9, but that is a publisher promotion—not evidence of a broad holiday sale. Check your region’s live store before relying on any price or deadline.
What happened to the advertised holiday sale?
Nintendo’s U.S. Blockbuster Sale announcement, published August 27, said the offer ran “From now until Sept. 9 at 11:59 p.m. PT.” That deadline has passed. Nintendo UK’s separate Blockbuster Sale page described a regional offer through September 13, which has also ended. Neither historical promotion establishes that a current holiday sale is available.

Nintendo’s U.S. sales page covers digital games, downloadable content and merchandise, but its live product listings were not available in the retrieved page. There is therefore no verified complete U.S. game list or basis here for claiming that Switch and Switch 2 games are currently discounted by as much as 60%. Sale dates, eligible editions and prices can differ by region.
What offers were reported through October 9?
A September 18 report described a separate Capcom promotion on the U.S. Nintendo eShop through October 9, 2026. It listed selected titles, not a Nintendo-wide holiday sale. The report’s prices should be checked in the eShop before purchase because offers are time-sensitive.

|---|---|---|---|
| Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection | $48.99 | $69.99 | $21, about 30% |
| Pragmata | $47.99 | $59.99 | $12, about 20% |
| Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen | $4.99 | $29.99 | $25, about 83% |
These are prices reported for selected Capcom titles in the U.S. context, not a verified live price list. The reported Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen reduction is greater than 60%, which also shows why a single “up to” figure should not be repeated without checking the specific promotion and its current listings.
How to verify a deal before buying
- Open the Nintendo Store or eShop for your country. Start with the official U.S. sales and deals page if you are shopping in the United States; use your own region’s store elsewhere.
- Check the exact game and edition. Confirm whether the listing is for the Switch or Switch 2 version, and whether it is a game or downloadable content.
- Compare the displayed sale price with its reference price. Treat a discount percentage or “was” price as applying to that listing, not to other editions, regions, or physical copies.
- Confirm the deadline and checkout price. Sale availability can end or vary by country. Make sure the offer remains active in the store before purchasing.
Nintendo UK’s historical promotion page included categories such as multiplayer, indie, Switch 2, Switch, and games under £5 or €5. It also stated that website downloads require a Nintendo Account linked to a console and an active-console setup. Those details describe that UK offer and should not be taken as current sale availability in other regions.

What the available evidence does—and does not—confirm
- Confirmed historically: Nintendo announced a U.S. Blockbuster Sale for Switch and Switch 2 games ending September 9, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PT; Nintendo UK’s separate promotion ended September 13.
- Reported separately: A Capcom-specific U.S. eShop promotion was listed through October 9, 2026, with selected prices reported for some titles.
- Not established: A current Nintendo-wide holiday sale, a complete current game inventory, or a universal maximum discount of 60%.
- Not compared: Physical-copy prices against eShop offers. The reported deals are digital eShop offers, and physical prices require separate verification.
