What do the SafeCard reviews actually establish?
A TechBullion article titled “Are Safecard Reviews Legit or Not? Analysis of USA Consumers’ Report” is dated January 29, 2025. Its indexed search text makes strongly favorable claims, but the article could not be accessed directly, and the available text reads as promotional. What is SafeCard, and what does the seller claim?
SafeCard is marketed as a physical card for a wallet that is intended to block RFID and NFC scans. On its product page, the seller claims a 5 cm shield and a lifespan of more than three years, alongside testimonials and broad security language. Is there independent evidence that SafeCard blocks scans?
The available material does not establish an independent laboratory test of SafeCard, a product-specific performance measurement, or a documented test method that would let a buyer assess its advertised range or durability. The seller’s product page is evidence of what is being marketed, not proof of how the card performs.

There is historical research showing that contactless-card security has been studied, but it does not validate SafeCard. In a 2008 public comment hosted by the Federal Trade Commission, researcher Kevin Fu described an exploratory team examination of samples of contactless cards. He reported that some card information was transmitted wirelessly and described a proof-of-concept replay attack using a homemade device. These were observations about particular cards tested at that time—not a test of SafeCard, a current estimate of attack frequency, or evidence that every contactless card is vulnerable in the same way. Kevin Fu’s 2008 FTC public comment
Fu’s comment also gave an estimate of 20 million contactless credit cards in circulation in the United States. That is a dated estimate from 2008, not a current card count and not a measure of SafeCard’s effectiveness.

- TEST THE CARD: Test the card is working at your local supermarket. At the self-service checkout machines, combine the card and a contactless card on the payment reader. Payment with the contactless card will be blocked and an error message should occur on the reader.
Does that mean SafeCard is a scam?
No conclusion that SafeCard is a scam—or that it is proven effective—follows from the available evidence. The product and its seller claims are identifiable, but independent confirmation of its review claims and specific performance is insufficient. Treat claims of protection as claims, and assess the seller and purchase terms before deciding.
Also keep the scope of RFID protection in perspective: an accessory marketed for blocking contactless scans does not, on the evidence available here, establish protection against account fraud, identity theft, or every form of skimming.

What should you check before buying?

- Performance evidence: Ask for an independent test report that identifies the tested card, equipment, frequency or protocol, placement, and pass/fail criteria. A specific measurement is more useful than an unsourced claim about a shielding distance or lifespan.
- Review quality: Look for reviews on more than the seller’s own page, with dates and details about actual use. A “verified” label is meaningful only if the platform explains what it verifies.
If comparing SafeCard with an RFID-blocking sleeve or wallet, compare documented test methods, coverage and placement, compatibility with your wallet, replacement terms, and the seller’s return policy. The available evidence does not identify a best-performing option.
