No Memorial Day 2026 discount in the available coverage is verified as active now. Memorial Day fell on May 25, and retailers set different sale end dates: many offers ended that day, while some continued into late May or June. By October 8, the reviewed sources do not establish that any of those promotions remain available.
Are any Memorial Day sales still going on?
The headline does not identify particular retailers or products, so its promised “huge discounts” cannot be matched to a specific offer. The available 2026 coverage documented deals across mattresses and bedding, home and furniture, kitchen and major appliances, TVs and other technology, outdoor furniture and gear, grills, fashion, and beauty. Those categories describe historical coverage—not a list of current bargains.
NBC Select’s roundup, published after the holiday, described selected deals that were still available at the time and said its page would be updated as offers ended or prices changed. That post-holiday status does not verify availability in October. Maytag’s official Memorial Day Appliance Sale page now says the sale is over and notes that appliance deals are available year-round.
When did Memorial Day sales end?
There was no single end date for every retailer. DealNews’ overview of the 2026 event reported that many offers ended on May 25, Memorial Day, while some ran into late May or June. A “final day” warning therefore applied only to an individual promotion on its stated date, not to every Memorial Day offer.

Historical offer pages can help establish what was advertised, but they are not live price checks. For example, LG’s May 20, 2026 announcement listed selected appliance and entertainment promotions. LG said its 65-inch OLED evo AI G5 was $2,199, or $1,200 off MSRP, and its 65-inch OLED evo AI C5 was $1,299, or $1,400 off MSRP. These were LG’s stated prices for that May event; they are not verified current prices. ABC News also cautioned that prices in its May 25 roundup could change after publication.
What kinds of deals appeared in 2026 coverage?
Retailer and deal coverage gives a sense of the breadth of the event, but does not show that any listed promotion is still live.

- Mattresses and bedding: Post-holiday coverage included mattress and bedding offers, with brands and sellers such as Saatva, Tempur-Pedic, and Mattress Firm appearing in the reviewed coverage.
- Outdoor cooking and gear: USA TODAY’s May 25 roundup included a Yeyes electric grill brush linked to an Amazon offer, along with outdoor-related deals.
- Other categories: Roundups also covered tech, furniture, fashion, and beauty.
These examples establish what publishers covered in May 2026, not which products are discounted today. A product’s presence in a past roundup is not evidence of a current price or promotion.
How to check whether a sale price is actually worthwhile
Before buying a replacement or a big-ticket item, compare the exact offer rather than relying on a percentage-off label. A useful check includes:

- Product identity: Match the exact model or SKU, size, and included configuration. Similar product names can refer to different versions or bundles.
- Current price and history: Compare the checkout price with the same item’s recent prices. Treat a claimed saving against MSRP as the seller’s reference price, not proof that the offer is the lowest price.
- Expiry and availability: Check the retailer’s current product page for the offer end date and stock status; an old roundup may not reflect either.
- Total cost and fulfillment: Include shipping or delivery, installation, haul-away, and any membership requirement that applies.
- Protection and conditions: Read the warranty, return policy or trial period, and any bundle conditions before comparing offers.
The reviewed coverage shows why these details matter: retailers used different end dates, and published prices could change. Without a current price and terms check, there is not enough evidence to call a particular offer a good deal.

Do not rely on a Memorial Day countdown or an old promotional price. Check the retailer’s current offer page and the exact product listing, then compare the final price and purchase terms with other current listings for the same model. Maytag’s official page points shoppers to year-round appliance deals, but it does not identify a particular promotion as the best available now.
