Applications for the Assam Public Service Commission’s 195 Agricultural Development Officer (ADO) posts are closed. The application window ran from 18 March to 17 April 2025, and the OMR screening test was held on 10 August 2025. The available result notice says qualified candidates were declared for interview, but does not establish whether interviews or final selection have since taken place.
APSC ADO 2025 recruitment status
APSC Advertisement No. 09/2025, dated 13 March 2025, invited applications for 195 ADO posts in Assam’s Agriculture Department. The application period ended on 17 April 2025, so this is no longer an open recruitment and the notice’s application instructions are historical.
The APSC-branded recruitment-information page lists the application dates as 18 March–17 April 2025. It also lists application fees of ₹250 for General/EWS candidates, ₹150 for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates, and no fee for BPL/PwD candidates. These are details reported by that information page, rather than figures in the reproduced recruitment notice. APSC ORG recruitment information
Screening test and result status
The OMR-based screening test took place on 10 August 2025. A result notification dated 4 September 2025, No. 77PSC/CON/Exam-04/2025-2026, declared qualified roll numbers for interview; the result page was published on 9 September 2025 and said interview dates would be notified later. This is an interview-stage progression, not a final selection result. The available information does not confirm whether interviews or final selection have since occurred. APSC ORG result information

Posts and reservation figures
The notice lists the following category counts for the 195 advertised posts. It says reservation figures were based on a draft advertisement received from the Government against cadre posts, so the table should be read with that qualification.
Rank #2
| Category | Posts |
|---|---|
| Open category | 112 |
| OBC/MOBC | 37 |
| SC | 14 |
| STP | 23 |
| STH | 9 |
| Total | 195 |
The notice also gives women-reserved figures by category and lists 14 PwBD posts across specified disability categories. Applicants needed to consult the notice for the applicable category and disability details.
Eligibility stated in Advertisement No. 09/2025
The notice required candidates to be Indian citizens and permanent residents of Assam. It accepted either a valid Permanent Resident Certificate issued in Assam for educational purposes or an Employment Exchange Registration Certificate as proof of residency.
Rank #3
Education
The stated qualification was “B.Sc (Agriculture) or a degree declared equivalent to BSc.(Agriculture) from a recognized University and also recognized by the Government of Assam.” The wording does not establish that any agriculture-related degree would qualify; equivalence and recognition had to meet the notice’s conditions.
Age and listed relaxations
The baseline age range was 21–38 years as of 1 January 2025. The notice listed five years’ upper-age relaxation for SC/ST candidates, three years for OBC/MOBC candidates, and ten years for PwBD candidates irrespective of category. It also set out separate rules for ex-servicemen and Assam state government or government-undertaking employees; candidates in those groups needed to refer to the notice for the applicable conditions.
Documents and declarations
For date-of-birth proof, the notice named a Class X or XII admit card, pass certificate, or marksheet. It instructed applicants to include age, caste, and minimum-qualification certificates in their One Time Registration profile and update it with any additional documents for the post. It also required a declaration regarding “The Small Family Norms” in Form A. These were requirements for the closed 2025 application process, not steps that can now be used to submit an application.

Where to verify later updates
The recruitment notice is available as a reproduced seven-page PDF hosted outside APSC; it is the source for the eligibility, vacancy and pay details above. The dates and fee summary come from APSC ORG’s recruitment-information page, and the screening-test progression comes from its result page. Because that site identifies itself as independent and the available result information does not establish later interview or final-selection developments, use the official APSC website to verify any current notice or recruitment process.
