The Andhra Pradesh State Level Police Recruitment Board rescheduled PMT/PET events due January 8–10, 2025, in five districts. The revised dates varied by district; events in other districts were to continue on the existing schedule. This is a historical update for the 2022 recruitment notification, not a schedule of upcoming events.
Which recruitment and tests did the notice cover?
The January 5, 2025, notice applied to the SCT Police Constable (Civil) posts for men and women and SCT Police Constable (APSP) posts for men, under notification Rc.No.161/SLPRB/Rect.2/2022 dated November 28, 2022. It postponed specified Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) events because of Vaikunta Ekadasi and other law-and-order issues. The notice was signed by M. Ravi Prakash, IPS, Chairman of the State Level Police Recruitment Board, Andhra Pradesh. SLPRB published the schedule in its January 5 press release. [c001] [c004]

What were the revised PMT/PET dates?
The changes covered only the listed events in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Ananthapuramu and Chittoor. The release gave these original and revised dates:

The notice provided different alternate-attendance instructions depending on the center. Candidates were told to produce sufficient proof of the conflicting examination. [c002]
- Ananthapuramu or Chittoor: Affected candidates could attend on a working day after January 16, 2025, at the Ananthapuramu or Chittoor center.
- Srikakulam, Vizianagaram or Visakhapatnam: Affected candidates could attend on a working day after January 8, 2025, at the relevant center.
Did the postponement apply across Andhra Pradesh?
No. The release changed the listed events in five districts; events in the remaining districts were to proceed under the existing schedule. A candidate’s applicable dates therefore depended on the district and event listed in the notice. [c001] [c003]

What figures were reported for the recruitment?
Scroll’s January 6, 2025, report said 95,208 candidates had been shortlisted for PMT/PET and described 6,100 total posts: 3,580 Civil constable posts and 2,520 APSP constable posts. These figures were reported by Scroll, not stated in the primary SLPRB rescheduling release. [c005]
