Apple’s “big week” refers to its March 2026 product announcements—not the separate iPhone event in September. The March lineup spanned the $599 iPhone 17e and MacBook Neo, refreshed MacBook Air and Pro models, an M4 iPad Air, and two 27-inch displays. Prices below are U.S. launch prices reported by the Associated Press, not confirmed current October prices.
What did Apple announce during its big week in 2026?
The phrase points to Apple’s March launch slate. The Associated Press reported that CEO Tim Cook promised a “big week” of announcements. The products included the iPhone 17e, MacBook Neo, updated MacBook Air and MacBook Pro configurations, iPad Air models with M4, and refreshed Studio Display monitors. These March products should not be confused with Apple’s separate September announcements, which included the iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro models, among other products.
The following prices are U.S. launch prices reported in March coverage. They are useful for comparing the launch lineup, but do not establish what Apple or retailers charge today.
iPhone 17e: the lower-priced new iPhone
AP reported that the iPhone 17e launched at $599 in the U.S. with 256GB of standard storage. Its reported specifications included an A19 chip, a 48-megapixel camera system, Apple’s C1X modem, and MagSafe with Qi2. AP described its launch price as $200 below the base iPhone 17 at that time; that comparison is specific to the March launch coverage, not a current price comparison.

MacBook Neo, Air, and Pro: three different roles
Apple’s laptop announcements covered an entry-level model as well as refreshed Air and Pro configurations. Their reported launch prices and specifications vary substantially, so the Neo, Air, and Pro are not interchangeable comparisons.
| Product | Reported U.S. launch price | Reported configuration and details |
|---|---|---|
| MacBook Neo | $599 for 256GB; $699 for 512GB | 13-inch laptop with A18 Pro, 8GB RAM, and two USB-C ports. AP reported that the 512GB tier added Touch ID. AP also reported a $100 education discount for students and educators. |

| MacBook Pro | $2,199 for the reported 14-inch M5 Pro configuration; $2,699 starting price for the reported 16-inch configuration | New M5 Pro and M5 Max configurations. AP described the cited 14-inch M5 Pro configuration with 24GB RAM and 1TB storage, and the cited 16-inch starting configuration with M5 Pro, 24GB RAM, and 1TB. AP also reported Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. |
MacBook Neo
The Neo was the entry-level laptop in AP’s roundup. Its two reported U.S. launch tiers differed in storage, and the higher-priced 512GB tier included Touch ID. AP reported an education discount of $100 for students and educators; the coverage does not establish whether that discount remains available or what eligibility terms apply today.
