Apple’s Canadian price increase for Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+ and Apple One took effect on October 25, 2023. That is a historical change, not a newly announced 2026 increase. Apple’s Canadian page currently lists Apple One at $22.95 per month for Individual, $30.95 for Family and $46.95 for Premier; the latter two are higher than the prices reported in 2023.
What Apple raised in Canada in October 2023
Contemporary Canadian coverage reported the following old and new prices. Monthly and annual amounts are before any applicable sales tax; annual totals are not directly comparable with monthly billing.

These historical prices and changes were reported by MobileSyrup on October 25, 2023. The yearly impact assumes 12 monthly charges and excludes tax.
Apple TV+ is now labelled Apple TV
The 2023 increase concerned the video subscription then called Apple TV+. Apple’s current Canadian Apple One page labels the service Apple TV. The current page lists it at $12.99 per month; that is also the 2023 post-increase monthly price, but the two names refer to different points in the service’s branding.

Apple Arcade’s annual plan was an exception
The reported increase applied to monthly Arcade billing. The annual price was reported as unchanged at $59.99, so monthly subscribers faced a higher recurring cost while annual subscribers did not face that reported change.
Other services were not part of that round
Contemporary reporting said Apple Music, Apple Fitness+ and iCloud+ were not included in the October 2023 increases. That statement applies to that specific round, not to all later pricing changes. TVA Nouvelles’ October 26, 2023 report covered the exclusions.
Apple’s current Canadian prices
As of August 18, 2026, Apple’s Canadian Apple One page lists these monthly prices. Apple One Family and Premier now cost more than the amounts reported for the October 2023 increase; the page establishes today’s prices, but not when those later changes occurred.

When existing subscribers paid the higher price
The reported effective date for new Canadian prices was October 25, 2023. Existing subscribers were to receive notice and generally encounter the new price at a later renewal. The 2023 report described a 30-day delay to the next renewal, but the exact first higher charge depended on an individual subscription’s renewal date and notice.
Apple’s current guidance says it notifies subscribers of scheduled price increases by email, push notification and in-app notice. Depending on the increase and applicable requirements, a subscriber may need to accept the new price; if acceptance is required and not given, the subscription may not renew at that price. To review a subscription on iPhone or iPad, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Mac, manage it through the App Store or Apple Account settings. If you paid through a carrier, reseller or another platform, check which company bills you: that provider may control renewal and cancellation.
What each Apple One plan includes now
Apple One combines services rather than adding a separate content catalogue of its own. Apple’s current Canadian page lists the following plan contents:

Family Sharing must be set up; purchasing a Family or Premier plan does not configure it automatically. Members use their own accounts, and Apple says their documents and activity remain private. Availability can vary by country and device, particularly for Arcade games and other content.

Does Apple One still save money?
Apple’s current Canadian page compares each bundle with the total price of buying its included services separately. These are Apple’s advertised comparisons, not a guarantee of savings for every subscriber.

The comparison assumes you would otherwise buy every listed service and the corresponding iCloud+ storage tier. A bundle’s real value is the amount you would have spent on services and storage you actually use, not the full advertised difference.
When Individual can make sense
Individual is worth comparing if you already want Apple Music and Apple TV, can use the 50GB iCloud+ allocation instead of a separate storage plan, and would use Arcade. If you only want Apple TV, paying for a bundle that includes services you do not use may cost more than buying the video subscription alone.

When Family can make sense
Family can be a better household fit when at least two people will use the services, the household needs up to 200GB of shared iCloud+ storage, and Family Sharing is configured. Count only services that someone in the household would otherwise pay for or use.
When Premier can make sense
Premier is most compelling when several people use the included services, particularly News+ and Fitness+, and the 2TB storage allowance is useful. If those additions would go unused, the plan’s advertised separate-service comparison overstates its value to your household.
Switching to Apple One without paying twice
Apple says included subscriptions you already have become part of Apple One and are no longer billed separately. An exception can apply if your existing iCloud+ plan has more storage than the Apple One tier: you may continue to pay separately for the larger storage plan. If you later cancel Apple One, Apple lets you choose which individual services to keep and pay for separately. Review your subscriptions after switching to confirm which charges remain.
Trials, cancellation and renewal
Apple says a one-month Apple One trial may be available for services you do not already subscribe to. The plan automatically renews after the trial unless cancelled. Existing subscriptions or trials can affect eligibility for a free trial of a particular service.

Apple One is a monthly subscription with no long-term commitment. Apple says to cancel at least one day before the monthly renewal date; access continues through the paid billing period. Review or change the plan in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iPhone or iPad, or through the App Store or Apple Account settings on Mac. Apple’s current terms and plan details are at apple.com/ca/apple-one.
How to choose: bundle or separate subscriptions?
- Consider a bundle when you would pay for most of its services anyway, need its storage allowance and—on Family or Premier—have other people ready to use it.
- Buy separately when you mainly want Apple TV, do not use the other included services, or subscribe temporarily for a particular show or game.
- Check your storage first if you already pay for more iCloud+ storage than the bundle includes; the larger plan may remain a separate charge.
- Compare the billing method if a third party handles the subscription, because Apple’s in-account cancellation steps may not apply.
Apple’s page also advertises a one-month Arcade trial, and a three-month offer for new subscribers purchasing eligible Apple hardware, subject to terms and activation limits. Offers can have eligibility conditions; check Apple’s Canadian Arcade announcement for the offer details.
