A clip recorded at Coldplay’s July 16, 2025, concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, showed Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and the company’s chief people officer, Kristin Cabot, on the venue screen. Astronomer placed Byron on leave and said its board had opened a formal investigation. Two days later, the company announced that Byron had resigned and that the board had accepted his resignation.
What happened at the Coldplay concert
Coldplay performed at Gillette Stadium on July 16, 2025. Footage showing Byron and Cabot on the venue screen circulated online. The Associated Press identified the two people and the location in its account of the incident: AP’s report.
The footage establishes that the pair appeared together on the screen; it does not establish the nature of any private relationship or substantiate claims about either person’s marriage. Social-media posts purporting to be apologies from Byron or Cabot should not be treated as genuine: ABC News Australia described the circulating apologies as fake.
